sky player becoming sky go 6/7/11 Pros & Cons

Was just watching something on the skyplayer as the missus is watching something about fat people who eat small children (I assume by the size of them) wanting to lose weight.
Anyway got a message telling me skyplayer is finishing on media player on July 6th. But you'll still be able to watch it via PC, XBOX, IOS4.
The good points I've picked up is that you'll no longer need to be a multi room or sky broadband customer to enjoy live TV on any of the above formats. You'll also be able to subscribe to sports for £8 on iphone. They also say more content is coming.

The bad point: At present you can register 4 devices + an xbox (I think) from July 6th that drops to 2 devices inclusive of xbox.

Full terms etc in link below

Had a search here but couldn't see nothing. Will have a look over at AV forums. It's good and bad for me as I like having it registered on my work laptop and home laptop and xbox.

On AVF they were discussing you may be able to switch between devices, but oly have it on 2 at once, thus allowing you to have it on numerous items after all.

I like idea of having on iphone's/ipad

Might be useful! I switched off my sub last week. I'll just use my sisters details to get free access!

Yeah I like the inclusion of iphone etc now. Also being able to watch simultaneously on 2 devices is another good pro. Can't justify using the service on xbox anymore as it's connected to same TV as sky+ HD so I'm just gonna lose the on demand features as I don't have anytime+ as I don't have sky providing my broadband (at present). Hopefully you will be able to change registered devices often unlike the present one change every month

can honestly say never used this service or any other catch up tv service, got sky and multiroom and only ever use my xbox for games, had a look at the stuff on anytime+ and nothing took my fancy on that either

Free on xbox, no small print? That doesn't sound like sky!
