Just come out today?
#2
Yeah, finally got in
#3
so whats the crack - do you have to pay extra?
#4
Depends on your subscription, If you have Broadband Unlimited/Max or Multiroom, you get the live streaming for free, otherwise it's £9.75/m. But you can watch whatever on demand content is on Sky Player that you have on you actual Sky subscription otherwise
#5
Ahh we only have full subscription sky.

i guess you need live aswell. so all in all in will cost around £12 a month (including years live)

I'm watching Sky News at the moment. Quality not too bad.

Can't get any of the On Demand stuff to work. Just getting network errors.

Can't get the TV Guide to work either.
#7
It keeps telling me my password is wrong.

Should it be the same password I use for my Sky email etc?
#8
Yeah you need a gold Subscription, keep trying, it'll work eventually. I'd hate to be working today :-(

Yeah, so username is everything before @sky.com and password has to have a number
#10
Its on the media center on windows 7 , but doesn't work , could that be because of the beta.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing... it's just worked on PC version, so gonna keep trying

I'll never use it anyway...

Got it working now - just tested it on an episode of Lie To Me and it worked well.

Got an advert for Sky before the show started, but can watch the show itself the whole way through without.

How do you set up pc one? does it have to be the real version of windows not the beta?
#14
It's on the PC in downloadable app form and website form (don't use the website, it's broken for registrations). Not sure about the Media Centre version, not updated my Windows 7 from Release Candidate yet

I'm on XP, accessed it though Sky website.

Changing channels takes a while.

Tested it on Disney and got stuck on the Jonas Brothers so had to turn it off.

I'd have thrown it out the window if that happened to me :-D

Sweet think my dad has multi room in his house, so technically I can just subscribe on my line for free?

Do you know if you can pay it seperate but use my dads ID. Would be cheapies.

Err you can have it on while the Sky Box is on, just not while another Sky Player is being used  Secondary or Primary accounts are the only accounts linked up to the actual Sky subscription so it knows what you are subscribed to

Robo..... is this a way to get "multi-house" - multiroom? (I'm sure they must have covered the bases with that?)

I tried using sky player a couple of weeks back. Downloaded the software, but keeps saying why I try to watch something, that I need to download the software (which is already installed.)
#27
if ihave no sky connection at home what would i have to pay?

Multiroom needs to be connected to an active phone line, if you don't you'll get charged the difference between the package and the multiroom subscription. Shouldn't need to software to watch something, just to download it, can send me a screenshot if you want?

I think Guv meant that if you've already got Sky, can someone else (i.e. in another house, with no Sky subscription) then set up Sky on their 360 using your details and then either get it for free (if you've already got Multiroom / Sky BB) or pay the £9.75 p.m.

I'd like to know this too, as I'm on the full sky HD package with BB, but my brother doesn't have Sky at his house, but could watch it through his XBox.

not too sure if this has been answered
sky in livig room xbox in bedroom
can i watch different channels so i have no need for multiroom?

Aah cool, so as I'm on the full Sky package, if I set up Sky Player on my brother's 360 (even though he lives 6 miles away from me) he'd be able to watch Sky Sports etc without paying a penny?

as long as you have multiroom or Broadband unlimited/Max. Otherwise he'll need to pay £9.75/m for it. Pretty sure terms and conditions say it can only be used by people in the household but I don't read T&Cs for a hobby :)

Yep, I've got BB Unlimited (think he's got Orange BB though). I'll have a look into it for him though.

Repped for the help, cheers
