hello, I've got a pvr from sky which is a sky plus 160gb Amstrad. i decided that I want a bigger hard drive as 160 gb is not enough for me. so my question is the following, does anyone know where I could get a hard drive (preferred 500gb) to upgrade my sky box. thanks :)

It was my understanding that whatever size drive you put in is effectively halved by Sky Anytime.

Ie. You currently only have 80Gb usable space.

Just to make you aware before you choose your HDD size.
If you love with a partner and have had sky for over 12 months cancel your subscription and take it out on your partners name and you'll get a new 500gb hd plus box and some other goodies like M & S vouchers. Just done it myself.

Visit this site and read through the guides. It also tells you which drives are likely to work ok.
Only certain drives work make sure you buy the correct one. Very easy to do. Takes about five minutes.
does anyone know what shop is likely to stock those kind of hard drives?
cos they are ce drives aren't they?
Bought mine online, ages ago mind you but just type the make and size/type of drive into google.

Have also had Maxtor drives from PC world before but they are hit and miss with stocks.
