Well this is an easy dilemma to solve... drop the sports :{ then you're almost breaking even :)

I'm just grateful that I'm not a massive sports fan. By the looks of it it's an expensive hobby to have.

I phoned sky to complain. After mentioning this newspaper article I got £5 pm off my subscription.

in all honesty why do people have sky movies?

Netflix USA is a 1000 times better and cheaper £6 a month inc the DNS service

Sports is all moving to BT

when we looked at what we watched, it was all the wife with her soul destroying soaps all available on freeview, I watched discovery so I got a now TV box

Sky is at it's least commanding position ever, and look outside of them, you will be surprised what is available for far cheaper!

they told me this on the phone when I called to get a better deal, ended up with 60% off for 12 months. paying around £32 for everything now, my 20% off deal ended last week and no way was I paying £80

the price goes up on September 27th I think she said

First year with Sky and they've really done their best to annoy me. Last week a letter informed me in order to watch Sky on my Xbox I now have to sign up to Sky Go Extra and now this week a price increase. Sigh. I should have listened to everyone that told me not to sign up...

do you have a multiroom subscription? sky go extra is free if you do, they added it for me without even asking "I've added sky go extra for you" which was slightly annoying as I didn't ask for it, wont ever use it but since it's free I'll leave it

sure as hell wouldn't pay the £5/m for it if I didn't have multiroom

Dataload what day did you get the 60% off offer?

Sky recently told me that they don't do more than 50% off now, so are you including account credit into the price or something? So that's it effectively 60% off instead.

it was Sunday because she was talking about the world cup final, they offered me 20% I said I've already had that offer, she then said she has an amazing offer but had to talk to a supervisor or something, came back a few minutes later with that offer of 60% off for 12 months

I've been with them for almost 10 years not sure if that makes a difference, although she said if I didn't accept that offer it might not be available again as it's based on individual calls

I have read about people who couldn't get what they were offered during a previous call the same day

On the phone to retentions now to a pushy woman saying that no one gets 30% without signing up to a new contact and basically only get decent discount if you have high packages so if you have a low package you only get 10% off but by signing up to a new 1 year contract.

Going to have a proper look round at my options and get my mac code and remove my tv services from them.

Retentions person trying to say they produce everything in full HD even when you blast facts back at them they still think they are right as most stuff is produced in 1080i
