After speaking to a few of my friends i think the deal i got the other day was a cracking one from Sky

Called up Sky to cancel my subscription (out of contract) and chose the option to leave Sky.

After speaking to the adviser i informed him i wanted to leave and that BT was doing a better package. I had recently upgraded to a 4k ultra HD tv and wanted to take advantage of it.

He said he wanted to give me an offer, in my mind i was thinking here we go again, will be a big sell etc...

What he offered was the following.

SKY Q - 2TB Main box, All Box sets ( which is all the channels except Sports) + Sky Cinema + HD & Ultra HD channels & movies where available

I was also given an additional Sky Multiscreen Box for another room.

Total monthly cost £40 inc vat for 12 months.

Initial cost of installation £90.00 but as a goodwill he waived this and gave me £60.00 credit on my account. Bringing the installation to only £30.00 for both boxes.

Looking forward to it, they have an installer coming in the next 2 weeks.

:)

You could of done better, free line rental and free fibre unlimited for 12 months too, if you really pushed it.

Nope not great I'm afraid.

Sky Q 2tb + SPORTS + MOVIES + ADDITIONAL Sky Q box + BOX SETS for £35 with £10 installation could be had and still can if you haggle it the right way. I would cancel this and see what they come back with.

That's a new customer deal though, right (so not comparable with a renewal negotiation really)?

Correct. This is a renewal. To get the new customer deal you would need to cancel and wait a period time before they treat you as a new customer.

You can still definitely push for this as I know people who have been offered this to stay.

It was a promotion running for the whole of last month. It is still available with the right people though. Some will claim it never existed as well mind, all about who you talk to. The sky guy in our local shopping centre does this promotion still and sells about 25 a day he said currently.

It has a ethernet port.

This is still a decent deal for existing customers. RRP if you go by the site price is £ 92/mo and current retentions offer is 60% total price is ~£55

Wanted the sky mini box but they wanted a additional 12 per month.
#15
if the £90 installation fee was waived and you got £60 credit then you would be in credit £60.
#16
How much are people getting the mini boxes for? Phoned again for any offers but £12 p/m is the standard charge. Just wondering if people are getting it for cheaper.

I pre cancelled sky last month to stop in February as I don't ever get any decent offers. Since then sky have been phoning to speak to me about it but I haven't been home. Last night I was home and they rang me then hung up. Any ideas what offers I can ask for even though I do have 3 months left on contract. Thanks in advance
