haven't watched sky news since the results due to the over whelming bias

boulton is shocking! it doesnt matter what party anyone supports, they should be DISGUSTED at this mans total disregard for fairness.

Is it not the job of reporters to REPORT the facts, rather than put their own bias on it?

Laura kunnssberg at bbc is fair and reasonable, paxman is a beast, but at least he hates EVERYONE equally. Adam boulton used sky to run the tory campaign. If he wasnt working for rupert he would have been sacked.
#4
Nor me, it's ridiculous, you'd think they'd won an overwhelming majority the way they talk on Sky News.

Who stole his wollypop?

What's this all about then? What's the latest on the Lib/Com/Lab alliance?:-D
#7
They've been shouting down/over several guests last few days. Quite aggressive at times, so much for neutrality eh. If tories do get in it'll be chaos as they plan to do away with Ofcom altogether.

People should start boycotting Sky News.

I am by no means a labour supporter but Rupert Murdoch should not be permitted to spread his bias to gullible viewers.
#11
Exactly why i'm more than happy to pay the BBC License fee..

Their coverage of sport, politics and news generally is frankly... The best in the world.
#12
In the case of campbell boulton quite rightly got upset as campbell questioned his imaprtiality when boulton was quite rightly pointing out that labour never actually won the election. the same scenario played out with ben bradshaw trying to hide the fact that labour lost the election and again questioning his impartiality.

It's also funny how the murdoch press are now evil incarnate, How evil and despicable were they when they backed tony blairs labour in the 3 previous elections.

They have always been evil. It's just because they have been more blatant in this election that people have been more upset. It's also the first election where we have had mass use of Twitter/Facebook/Youtube to spread people's feelings etc

Murdoch needs to back the winning horse, that's why he switched to Tory support as he knew Labour were on their way out.

To be honest, if anyone watches Sky News or reads the Sun and thinks they are getting actual "news" or reporting then it's their own stupid fault.

but the point is they shouldnt be backing ANYONE! not blair previously,or cameron now-it is not the job of the press to INFLUENCE public opinion, their job is to report facts.

and the reason we will never get the situation resolved is that conservative voters are quite happy with the current situation, just as labour voters were previously.

But you can't stop Sky / News International from being biased. They don't HAVE to be impartial. The BBC do as they are publically funded, but Murdoch et al can support whoever they like.

The problem is that they have so much influence over the proles and mouth-breathers that it can have a massive affect.

cant stand watching sky news lately because of this

report them then... or is it not true?
#18
all the lefties watch the BBC for their left-wing bias to keep you happy and stop whingeing, the BBC have never been impartial since the late 50's.

the right wingers can be happy watching sky news, and those wanting a balanced view dont watch either, sorted

The BBC isn't left wing at all. It's liberal, yes, but that's easy for people to confuse and label as "left wing"

just look at their programmes messing with history to promote a certain culture, look at their bias on radio 1 in 80,s to promote a certain cultures music, then in the 90's to promote another cultures music.

thats why their ratings dropped by 60% but dont worry they are not held responsible and its only tax payers money ( tv licence - tv tax) , promote minorities and f the rest of you

ha ha looks like labour and scummy lib dems will have the power - so the recession will be back and unemployment on the rise and the pound on the fall - reelection in september methinks and majority will win

Think you need to recheck your facts there. Labour are 'close' to admitting defeat

If only someone would have predicted that - would have been worth a bet.

Damn! :x

Why do people like you shout 'racist' when somebody has questioned bias towards minority groups. What is racist about that?

thankfully this isn't cuba or china so we have a free press who can take whatever standpoint they see fit.

ah so they are more evil now that they aren't backing labour and the middle class labour supporters are now able to tweet their disapproval from their iphones and blackberrys.

whats the difference between chinese government telling the press what to say and print and rupert murdoch telling boulton what to say?

in china it would be literally a death sentence for the press to refuse, whereas boulton is a slimy weasel with no integrity-the two scenarios dont bear comparison.

the difference is rupert murdoch isn't the government and is free to "tell boulton what to say" not that for one second do I believe rupert murdoch is txting boulton live on air to order him to get angry at the unelected campbell.

Just as the guardian are free to withdraw their backing from labour to support the lib dems during the election.

Congratulations on completely misunderstanding and then mis-quoting me.

At no point did I say Newspaper X is better than Newspaper Y. I merely implied that the Sun and anything else touched by Murdoch has a horrible bias brought about for the sole purpose of Murdoch's own gain.

I did not mention any other newspaper or news group nor did I comment on any other bias in the media because this thread is about Sky and their bias.
[mod]#36
Adam, you are a pompous little arse.
[mod]#37
Ben Bradshaw is our local MP and he does a great job. Adam Boulton is just an absolute idiot. He only has one argument that Labour didnt win the election. Nor did the Tories and nor did the Lib Dems.
