You might get away with it if you sign up in your partners name. They have stopped doing sky+ boxes now so you would get an HD one.

Why not just run a cable upstairs to the bedroom..

because i want to record on both boxes

we have just upgraded to sky hd and they told us they will move the exsisting sky + box upstairs (replacing the normal multiroom box we have) at same time as installing the HD.

You will have to pay the £10 per month multiroom subscription on the 2nd box tho and unless you can get them to offer you hd for free (we did!) youd have to pay for that box too.

take a peek at this thread http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/639953/get-sky-hd-free-for-existing-custom

Just tell them you're leaving, and i promise you they will make you an offer to stay.. maybe not straight away but you have to give 30 days notice to finish your contract and they will be on the phone to you before the final day..and if not just phone them up on the last day of your 30 day notice and tell them you've changed your mind

Not always. I tried that, spoke to the first person who then put me through to cancellations. The guy from cancellation gave me a rubbish offer and when i declined he said i could cancel there and then.

But they did make you an offer, and if you've paid for the month they can't cut you off straight away. no harm in finding out what the offer is.

You will have to pay Sky £10 a month for the recording feature to be active.
