Do you think it will be linked to your home address somehow, perhaps with your IP address? I was thinking I may be able to use my parents Sky TV account to watch in my own house where we don't have Sky.

Would love to know also. Anyone know when this will be live?

I'd have thought it would be some free channels and then premium channels would be subscription regardless of whether you already receive it anyway otherwise it's open to too much abuse.

I can't see me ever using it...........it's easier to turn off the 360 and watch it through the sky box. lol

Apparently it's out later this month. I've seen a few adverts on Sky for it now.

£18.00 a month without the sports. No thanks.

if its like sky player it will be linked to your subscription account and you will be able to watch what you can on TV. Sky player allows you to register up to 5 different computers on your account.

I have a mate who says he is beta'ing it, and it apparently works like the iplayer, he also said you have to have a subscription with sky, and depending on the subscription thats the channels you'll be able to view

Yes but only the 'main' computer can watch anything decent and I highly doubt youll be able to register 5 xboxes

Well that would be great if it works like you explained above. So I could register my Xbox with my parents full Sky subscription and get to watch it in my own home. Can't imagine it will run that smoothly but would be great to have the option of watching some of the Sky Sports channels without popping down the pub or hoping on a decent stream.

I wouldn't be surprised if you have to pay MS something to be able to use it even if you do have a full Sky subscription.

As stated, you can already do that using skyplayer on your pc, using their details, you have to either have multiroom or unlimited sky broadband to get access to the skyplayer.

So can you have Sky player on two different PC's or not? Someone mentions 5 computers in this post but searching online I can only find info stating one computer only.
#13
you can activate 5 computers but only the main one can view sky sports, the movies and some other stuff, the other four are limited

i dont care for either xbox 360 or sky player tbh

No good for my DSL . I have sky + but have no interest in sky360 streaming wise. Think they need to fix stuff before they add more stuff to break more stuff.

That's slightly wrong.

It's actually 4 computers per account and the restriction of access to main computer only lies with Sky Movies and Sky One, all sports channels can be watched on all 4 computers. (my dad uses my account to watch sports on his laptop and he doesn't even live in the same city as me)

You just need to have either Multiroom or Broadband Unlimited to get the Sky Player free.

hdmi, optical out sound....on 2 decoders with 2 different optical out dongles .. goes off for a millisecond /stutters when hdmi cable is in use.. never when the component/optical is being used only when optical out via the supplied dongle / hdmi cable is used and on all 360's I have that use hdmi

They fixed a laggy marketplace but the way they fixed it was to make the game library laggy instead; Lol some fix and as if no one would notice.

optical +- db gain would be nice, a gfx equalizer better still some / bass/ treble control for digital audio a better music player with less lag when importing 4096 odd songs over a 10/100 network eg streaming audio from a 10/100/1000 1tb linkstation live which my ps3's have no trouble with same amount of songs/items
