SkySports Vs ITV : Champions League Final

Was wondering if anyone planned on watching the Champions League Final on ITV (unless of course you don't have Sky)?

I've always found ITV's football coverage of football third rate, behind Sky and BBC (in that order). This is going back to the 70's / 80's (Big Match wasnt a patch on MOTD).

Am I alone in this or is everyone else opting to watch on Sky?

*Footnote - if Gary Neville is on Sky I'll be switching over to ITV though

I'm pretty stuck here, there is no Sky Sports on the ship, so I'm having to watch it through ITV. However as Adrian Chiles drives me nuts I'll hardly be enjoying the show.
Is commentary on Radio Five Live or Talksport?

It's on Radio 5 Live pugw$sh

Adrian Chiles.

I'd place him in History's Top 5 Evil Men.
Right now he's sitting between Milosovic and GaGa.

Normally I watch the build up on Sky Sports and then switch over to ITV for the match. Clive Tyldesley is the ultimate champions league commentator.
#5
True about tyldesley, even better when he pairs up with jim beglin, my preferred commentary duo I think..
#6
As long as Moneychester loose, who cares who commentates??
#7
I hate tyldesley. His ruined the best final ever (Liverpool vs ac Milan) with his constant drivel. "these English lions, these 11 heroes blah blah".

I enjoy the football and therefore sky is the obvious choice for me as the commentators are less in your face.

You think Giggs will score :-/

ITV should be avoided at all times for all programs, especially the football.

ITV is advert advert advert!

So' Sky (which i'll be watching it on)

My preference for all things is BBC purely for the fact they don't have adverts.........give them the Champs League.

Anyway...........looking forward hopefully for a Barca win.

Moneychester? Whats this implying? Tell me how much we spent this season compared to the clubs finishing below us.....

Beglin and Tydsley are the only two likeable commentators on British tv. Tend not to watch the pre and post match analysis anyway so the ineptitude of Southgate, Townsend and Chiles won't affect me.
#15
At least Andy Townsend doesn't do all the touch screen thing anymore

wont they both be having exactly the same camera feed anyway so just down to the commentator preference?

I'll do some comparisons on Saturday night but I'm sure Sky's PQ is superior.

Am I poor? Do I watch the Jeremy Kyle show not just for enjoyment, but in hopes of seeing my father? Do 3 of my children have 4 different fathers?

If the answers to the above questions are 'NO' then it's Sky Sports.

If you answered 'YES' to any of the questions above then don't worry about ITV's coverage switching to SD halfway through - your HDTV will probably be repossessed or sold by you half-brother/father for drugs at some point between now and kick-off anyway.

ITV1 HD because I haven't got Sky sports HD
#29
ITV's football coverage is awful, from the host, the commentators right through to the supposed HD, they always seem to mes that up on big game and end up switching to to the SD feed

Can't stand jim beglin or clive :|

Oh and of course the time they missed englands opening goal in the world cup by playing an advert oO

sky for me, but thankfully no andy gray either :D

I have to agree, Adrian Chiles and Gary Neville are both awful. However Sky win easily due to Martin Tyler being so much better than Clive Tyldesley, who is on the same level as the dreadful duo mentioned earlier.

ITV is advert advert advert!

And sometimes during the match.

Sky hd with 5.1 sound, against itv crap hd and 2.1 and the usual balls up.
