Well I live in the country just down the road from a Dairy Farm and today when I am working from home the farmer spreads some cow muck in the field about 50ft from my office window so all the windows are now shut. Well I suppose I am lucky living where I do but I am so hot.

Anybody else have a smelly day today?

You would think after all these years I would be used to it but no it's still bad but yes better than a city

About 5 miles away from us is a sewage farm and a pet food factory, sometimes if the wind is in the right (or wrong) direction, it can stink! Thank god we dont live closer :)
We have countryside near us and the smell of cows sometimes wafts across, but I dont mind that, strangely :)

Well I for one could not stand living in a city. It would be wrong if we all liked the same thing though :)

we have a sewage works near us that bubbles up into the kids play area in the park when it rains lots. awful. they block off the park but it still smells terrible.

what i'd give to live in the country. it's horrid raising kids in london.

During the Summer months we have Cows looking across the hedge at us very entertaining !

I would not want to live anywhere else to be honest as waking up to birdsong in the summer is wonderful!

I have the best of both worlds here......a 10 minute drive into the city centre or a 5 minute walk into the countryside........absolutely love it

I know I lived in Luton as a kid and hated it ,my daughter lives in Leeds city centre in a one bedroom flat and after 10 months she is moving out with her partner to a house with a garden as she is going mad with boredom and having no green things to look at.

I also live in leeds....approx 3 miles from the city centre....however I look out of my back bedroom window onto a park/field and out of the front bedroom onto a city scape of leeds....very nice on NYE and bonfire night :) like you said if we all liked the same everyone would be boring and noone would be happy....enjoy your stinky country :p and I shall enjoy my polluted city :)

We too have cows looking at us over our fence, but they generate loads of flies so I have to keep
doors and windows closed too or put up fly screens at the french doors. Also my pure white cat
has a habit of not looking where he is running in the field and comes back green underside (COW 5H1TE). Sometimes the worst smell can be when they muck out the chicken sheds in summertime , if I could bottle that smell it could be sold to the police instead of teargas!

We have the local council tip near work and in summer it really reeks, and the amount of flies are unbelievable.
