Probably not because you're probably getting too much carbs/sugar and not enough fat/protein.

You'll probably lose weight but you're not getting enough of the right stuff into your system and it will probably just shoot through you like a laser after a couple of days.

If you want to actually lose weight healthily, lose a huge amount of carbs and sugar from your diet and eat plenty of fat, veg and meat.

If you want to get healthy for cycle racing then drinking smoothies will have completely the opposite effect!

lol a smoothie diet would just make you gain weight seriously.
best way to lose weight cut calorie intake by 500 and also take up an exercise or to maintain a 1300 calorie diet.
write down what you consume when you consume it but also total up not to go over your calorie limit for that day i.e. 130g carb limit for a man consuming 2000 calories (this will vary if your intake is less or more i.e. if you want to lose or gain weight).
remember too much carbs/suger = glucose which if not burned = fat.
protein is only good for recovery for muscles when there broken down to reheal stronger and more definied than before basically.
you do not lose weight over night or over days or weeks, you will only see results in months and over a long period of time, though your friends will notice you losing weight quicker than what you would as you can not see 360 degrees round your whole body to see what shape you are as your eyes make you look a big bigger than what you are from were they are.
exercise which makes use of every muscle in the body is what you should aim to do if you want to lose weight i.e. cycling, swimming, skiing etc. start of slow and build up i.e. for cycling no sense trying to do 90 miles, start of in a block of say 10 miles then eacdh week increase the pace then each month increase the miles by 5/10 miles and do the same for the pace start of slow again and build up by the end of the week to a very high pace but not your max.

Hello thanks for your advise-i didnt make it very clear i am allready good cyclits doing 200+miles a week with very active job aswell most of the time.I was thinking of doing this to further improve on fitness and obviously i have done more than 90mls in a day-did 150 once :)
i was actually thinking of doing this mostly as i like innocent smoothies soooooo much and was hoping id improve a bit aswell but i'll try some of your advise there
Cheers

cycling is good, ive raced at mtb and road at different levels across ireland, uk and in belgium.
you need to work out how many calories you burn for each training(cycling session) then you can work out how many calories you should consume i.e. to lose weight as mention be a good 500 under the amount of calories required, but to maintain then breakeven on how many you should consume.
it would also be benifically for you to work out how many calories you burn when not exercising and doing your daily routine aswell.
you should break exercise into blocks of three a week for training and break down on how much you to into them blocks i.e. if you do 200 miles a week then for each training session do 66.6 miles but you probably already know all that :D.

My hubby tried this just drinking smoothies during the day and a normal meal on an evening and it worked really well
He didnt use innocent ones though...just made his own
Throw some fruit in the blender...either tinned, fresh or frozen whatever we had
a blog of natural yogart
some pure fruit juice

if the taste is not quite what you want i.e it depends on the fruit mixture you put in use a touch of honey to sweeten it or a splash of lime juice to make it more tangy
