at the end of my tether with this one now as daft as it may sound

hubby is a very bad snorer
A few years ago he had his sinuses drilled out and it helped but only for a few months and things got back to their old ways.

at the moment i feel like im not getting any sleep and wake up feeling more shattered than when i went to bed,his snoring is driving me crazy!
I feel like smothering him some nights lol

He has been abck to the doctors and is on a waiting list to have his tonsils out,his tongue lasered and the roof of his mouth reshaped but in the meantime im going stir crazy listening to it

I come downstairs to escape the noise and i can still hear him GGGGGGRRRRRRRR

anyone tried any methods to cure or ease snoring?

gosh his snoring must be really extreme.

I dunno hun, I like listening to the depth of someones breathing as they sleep next to me... makes me feel safe.

his must be totally extreme though... he must be so worried about how he is making you feel xxxx

I know exactly how you feel flower, I had a girlfriend who snored very badly, and many nights I felt like smothering her too!!

My Grandad was always a bad snorer too, drove me Nan mad, but he found a pretty unlikely cure, but it worked. He went to bed with socks on and put a cork in the foot of ONE of the socks. Gotta be worth a whizz, but can't say that 'cos it worked for him it'll work for your OH, but good luck :-D

Apparently I snore too, though I think my wife is fibbing:) An extra pillow solves it for me, again, that's according to my wife:thinking:

Singing apparently helps tighten the muscles around the throat. Works for me.

I have tried everything on the market - there are three things that work - but only sometimes.

1 - I bought a bracelet that gives a slight electric shock - I like this one :) - hubby does not
it give a shock when the person starts to sore and wakes them, just slightly not fuly awake so
they stop snoring - works good but hubby wont wear it anymore, dont know why :?

2. - I bought some plastic nose things from betterware, ,they do work they are just small white
plastic bends with two little balls on the ends and you put then in your nose at night apparently
they keep you from snoring by the pressure, although you cannot feel them - they work I wold say
7 out of 10 nights

3 - Get him to sing, my o/d is a singer and on the nights he has a gig, no snoring.

Good luck I sympathise

Separate rooms or a kick in the ribs!
i admit to hurting him on a few occassions  a jab in the ribs makes him move but the snoring starts again within minutes

Get a Boxer dog..........you'll then realise that your hubby's snoring is nothing in comparison.

I dig my hubby in the ribs so he turns over and it usually does the trick. Sounds like you have a much worse problem, poor you, must be a nightmare. Lack of sleep is like a form of torture!
sure is,a few weeks ago i went off to a friends for the weekend just so i could get some sleep, felt so refreshed having a whole nights unbroken sleep:)

At night I love absolute silence, I can't sleep if there is a ticking clock in the same room and my gf isn't really a snore just a very heavy breather so I sleep with ear plugs every night now.

They are about £2.50 from ASDA for wax ones which you squish into your ear, I find them much much better than the foam ones.
#24
cheapest way is earplugs!, but i remember reading some stuf on lasering the throat. changes peoples lives and gets rid of the snoring. think it was a few hundred pounds. cheap at half the price if it works.you might even get it on the nhs.

a snore guard! its aboout a hundred quid..if not more... go to dentist and they make a mouth guard which when u put in mouth adjusts the way ur jaw sits at night and therfore stops u snoring.

Try the electric shock bracelet on summin not his wrist :whistling:

Put him in the garden. Or if you have a shed put him in there LOL. Then there will be two doors and plenty of space between you and the snores.
I sympathise with you as it makes you feel so groggy when you have been kept awake all night.
#31
different bedroom will work.
try sewing a tennis ball on the back of his pyjamas, this should keep him on his side
ear plugs for you
stop him breathing completely
Tracheotomy
