Snorkeling on Holiday?

I really enjoy snorkeling, and have been to some very good places to snorkel, such as the maldives and tobago, and really enjoy it.
But I have a budget of £700 for my holiday this year, (per person- couple) and would like to go all inclusive, and wondered if anyone knew of any top snorkeling destinations that would fit into this budget.
Egypt seems to be my best option at the moment but i wondered if anyone had been there, experiences, and if anyone has any other suggestions.
Help is appreciated =)

How about Kenya, combine it with a safari - I've been twice and love the place, I went snorkelling whilst some others went scuba diving, water so clear could see loads!

£694 - 2 weeks all inclusive at Sun n Sands - Deaprting in May http://www.firstchoice.co.uk/fcsun/page/search/searchresults?fhCurrentSelectedDate=10/5/2010

Remember though it is a thrid would country so hotels are a little 'basic'

aaahhh i should mention i have a PADI qualification but my girlfriend doesnt and cant afford it. And we'd have to go on July or August, which is a pain because of peak times and prices....

i've heard very good things about egypt as its protected its reefs - no fishing or anything that may harm the natural habitats. A lot of scuba divers go there and snorkelling is very popular too. Sharm el Sheikh has very good reviews but not going until Dec so cant give you my feedback. Good luck with the search

Makardi Bay was fantastic for snorkling
