I had the results of an MRI scan today on my knee and they said that I have severe inflamation of the tendon and that they cannot really do anything for it operation wise. They have given me some diclofenac to take for two weeks in the hope that it will sort it. I have had the problem with my knee for over four years and had the exact same problem on my left knee, which has been operated on. In a way I'm gutted they didnt find anything serious that they could "fix" because now I am just relying on some drugs to try and sort it out.

Anyone else suffered with this and dealt with it the same way I have to?

I get tendinitis in my hands and feet quite regularly and had it once in my calf.I was on diclofenic tablets and gel each time and it does work.Last time the doc upped my dosage and it caused gastritis.I was doubled up in pain. Now the doc says I can't take any anti-inflammatory tablets cos my stomach is so bad.I was told this happens quite alot with diclofenic.

I've used chondroitin complex gels to help my joints with some success.

Worth a try.
