Yes maybe it is, im not sure we have just been referring to it as that as its not a marathon its not 26miles. my top says ''raise it, run it, beat it'' if that help and is for cancer.

Thanks sassie and yeah i was just wandering about times of eating really sy. i have plenty of pasta etc.

Eat bananas to avoid cramp, full of potassium. I think it's around 2-3 hours before running. Good luck! :)

Everyone is different but what works for me for fast 10k's and half marathons...

You ideally should have been carb loading for a couple of days but have a good quality carb meal tonight(pasta or jacket potato or something non refined) and some carbs in the morning a couple of hours before the run such as porridge and you will be fine....keep swigging water for the rest of the day but don't go overboard tomorrow before the race or you will be running to the bog all the time.

Try not to eat anything too different or it may upset your system.

Enjoy it,don't be afraid to walk for a bit if its your first time

Okay mate will do, i have a nice meal i can make tonight with pasta.
So in the morning nothing to heavy then, maybe just a bowl of porridge and some fruit? i didnt know if it was best to eat some pasta before the race, ill just stick to what you have said.

cheers

Have some fruit if you need it but no need to go mad....basically carbs are a slow release form of energy...as long as you have enough in you system to get you through you will be fine...its only when your body starts burning fat as energy that you will slow down and start to feel like crap.

Don't have anything too heavy, don't bigger then normal portions either,be sure to have a good brad pitt before the race as well :)

Most important thing is too relax.

Be interesting how they bounce back from all this Rooney saga now it's done and dusted and whether it gives them a lift as they've been rather poor of late.
