6 weeks in the making and we pick up the keys today. Now the really crappy part begins, I seriously hate moving, going to take weeks or at the least it'll seem like it's taking weeks lol.

Hope it's dry for you; moving in the rain isn't great, but if you can take your time you can choose your moments. ;-)
All the best for the future in your new house.
Are you keeping the caravan?

Hope you've got the wall ready for the telly :)

A good tip Iwas once given.. make sure that the fridge and microwave move firsts. Then put a bottle of wine and some beers in and a ready meal of your choice in , so that when you are finally ready to call it a day you can have a meal and a drink to celebrate within minutes:thumbsup:

Stayed dry. I managed 2 Escort van loads of crap before calling it a day and having a kebab from the shop around the corner. No red cabbage or tursu's:x Father in laws keeping the caravan in case he has visits from the inlaws as my brother in law got married to a manchester woman a couple of weeks ago, so it's not exactly one of those 'lets stop by for a quick cuppa' things

Well..... Can't put it on the wall as there's a gas fire right under where I would have put it so it's going in the corner.....

Nope, Ashford. A mini version of Chatham lol

Anyway, moving has sort of been delayed as the wife has decided that i'm to redecorate half the house. Got till next monday PMSL (2 Bob's spring to mind). Also discovered today that there's a severe lack of electrical sockets, so another nice job for me. I can't believe I didn't bother to check that one. Still, no matter, i'm just going to chuck in a load of 4 gang converters because afaik Part P doesn't apply to them.

Did I mention.... She wants a new bathroom fitted as well. Baths an odd size though. Typical.

:giggle: Definitely a sit-com.

All this redecoration and renovation seems to have come as a bolt from the blue. I hope it's odd 'too big' , not odd 'too small'.

Time for a pint with a good amount of Fizz!!

Congrats on your move, we moving soon into temp house and hoping to buy a house soon after too, I already have lists of jobs for husband and dad to do, electrics, decorating, knocking a window out and making doorway , knocking internal wall down - nothing major just little bits, have worked it all out and told them they will have four days to complete the jobs so no rush for them.:-D

Men seem to think these little jobs should take weeks:whistling: whats that all about?:-D

Thought it was Dover you were moving to? Stiff, At least you will have a working kitchen and a house not resembling a building site. Having builders in is stressfull stuff! (Trust me - I know!)

Actually Ashford is good! Could make for a few easy swapsies!!!! :whistling:

Yeh we just been in here almost 2 wks and nowhere near sorted in way. Having flooring and carpet on stairs laid today, they been here since yesterday think might go into tomorrow even. Had cooker delivered and fitted yesterday and been tons of other things need doing.
Once flooring done though we can get things into place proper and start getting unpacked proper, tons of black bags to be emptied,I hate moving home!

Mate, by the time i've started my house will be like a bomb site  We did look in Dover but its so cramped. Roads that were built for horses for the most part

I'm probably less than a mile from the outlet. Not that impressed by it tbh, apart from the donnay shop where I get my trackies PMSL.

The only shops I like there are Toshiba and Donnay (sports soccer). The rest just seem to be overpriced kitchen utensils or clothes/shoes. Bose seem to have missed the point of an 'outlet' as well. AND they charge for parking, bloody cheek of it
