The 3,150 m long Lefortovo Tunnel in Russia is the longest 'in-city' tunnel in all of Europe. There is a river running over it and water leaks at some points. When the temperature reaches minus 38 degrees like it did last winter, the road freezes and the result is the attached video taken during a single day with the tunnel camera. Congratulations to the driver of the dual bus!!

Umm !! yup, HGV Class 1, had it for 30 years thnx :santa: driven everything up to 38 tonnes 18 weels etc in all weathers
and ful M/C, been an ADI as well,
Ice + Lorry + corner = go slowly. Oversteer = loss of control. loss of controll = bad driving whatever the circumstance. Not very good from a Profesional driver IMO

YAY, an artic....Lots of weight to keep those wheels planted on the ice !

IF youve never had your lorry well and truly out of shape, on ice.....Then how would you know what to do if it ever happens......Skid control...they teach it to car drivers, but never lorry drivers.

Shame really....people come to rely upon ABS and the like........

I was merely stating that the bus driver did a damn good job....speaking from experience of having a 32t HIAB driving sliding down the A1 Facing 45 degrees into the hard shoulder !

As I said bad driving ( I did drive the artic empty as well, and 8 weelers, 6 weelers, vans, yes I have had things get slipery, which I put down to MY misjudgement of the conditions, BAD driving) and don't artics jack knife !!
They dont teach it to car drivers I've been an ADI,
I also passed my car test so by your own argument i got taught skid control then
