Coronation Street's Becky Grainger faces years behins bars aftergetting arrested for possesssion of class A drugs.
The Corrie barmaid - played by 29-year-old Katherine Kelly - is taken away by police during a narcotics raid at the Rovers Return, the Sun reports.
Becky has been set up by evil copper DC Hooch, but with her crooked past, even her boyfriend Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) struggles to believe Becky when she protests her innocence.
A show insider said: "This will be devastating for Becky. Her future will be in balance after her arrest and her relationship with Steve will be teetering on the brink.
"It'll be touch and go whether she goes down or not."
Viewers will know the truth, seeing the drugs planted on her by ex-boyfriend Slug -- who is blackmailed by DC Hooch.
The detective has held a grudge against Becky since she reported him for demanding a sex act from her when she was 15.
As Hooch arrests Becky after the raid he tells her: "Got you. Say goodbye to your new life Becky because this time you're going down and I'll make sure they throw away the key."
Becky's former boss, cafe owner Roy Cropper is convinced she has been set up, and it turns out someone else on the Street is involved, when the plot unfolds on the ITV soap this summer.
The source said: "Becky's made many enemies during her time on the Street and it could be anyone of a number of people."
New 'totty' on EastEnders set

The set of EastEnders has apparently been rocked by an influx of attractive young men, including a new doctor for the Square.
Not only has Marc Elliot arrived to play Syed Masood but newcomer Adam Croasdell has been enlisted as Dr Legg and Dr Truman's successor, Dr Jenkins.
"There's an influx of three or four very handsome men on set and all the women - who are mostly in their thirties and forties and above - are saying 'Hurrah - totty on set!'" a source said.
This delivery of new talent has also perked up the cast.
"There's a bunch of new people. It's new blood which brings a bit of life to the set. The actors can get pretty bored between scenes so they get overexcited when anyone new turns up," the source continued.
Adam will appear on screen in late April, while Marc turns up in May.
Nina: Syed could be Zainab's lover

Nina Wadia has joked that Marc Elliot should play her lover rather than her son on EastEnders.
Marc arrives on our screens in May as Syed, the Masoods' prodigal son - and the favourite of Nina's character Zainab.
"I'm not that much older than him and he's playing a 24-year-old, I know I look old on screen but this is ridiculous!" she said.
Nina joked that she had even started to spread rumours on set about a romantic plotline between the two.
"We've decided amongst ourselves that there should be an incest storyline at some point. We spread that rumour around the set because it's so hysterical. We have a laugh with that stuff.
"He's so naughty because I just can't stop laughing. We're in so much trouble all the time. We're uncontrollable," she said.
"It'll be touch and go whether she goes down or not."
