Are these mega slow and sending e-mails?

I've just bought something off their site, and signed up and said I'd recieve a confirmation e-mail.

I have nothing, is it just generally not instant and slow?

There customer services can at times be slow yes. I was slow to receive emails let alone the despatch of the actual item. After ten days of not hearing anything i rang them up and the guy on the phone actually said that the order was logged but they FORGOT to send it out.

So dont worry about it they may be slow but if your order suffers a delay just ring them up and they should sort it out.

They arent slow to send out there special deals email. Comes in the morning on time. Typical

I've used Softuk at least a dozen times and they've always been very reliable and extremely fast with all my orders.

I have however seen that occasionally problems have occured, which happens with all companies and from every incident i've seen on other forums, they managed to resolve after making further contact has been made with them either via a different email address or by calling them.

I have noticed that some email accounts like Aol and Gmail can sometimes have emails bounce, so that may something to do with your email account, rather then them being giving you a slow response. :)

If you're talking about the Collectors Account, then i know that's not an automated system, as that has to be manually accepted you once they checkout you are an existing customer but that doesn't take long.

:!: I am suffering the same fate as the poster, as I placed an order last week for 2 games totaling £70 and set up a collector account at the same time.

I have had No confirmation emails to this day relating to the purchase of the items and setting up the collectors account.

SoftUK as seen fit to take the money from my account now even though I have tried to contact them on there 1 telephone line as well as contact them via email. Even left a message on there phone.

Strange that they have taken my money and still not sent a email telling me the goods are on there way.

I then had 1 email response from somebody called Joe from Softuk asking for the order number which I do not have as I expected it in the follow up email after placing the order.

So I informed Joe about this explaining they could track my order via my email address that I registered with. Still no reply from Joe!
I even sent a PM to Steven Wright a member of HUKD who is supposed to be the top dog of softuk. No Reply!

TBH this company seems very slap dab & How they do business on 1 phone line is beyond me.

They may have some excellent deals Granted but I would prefer to spend a little more cash on my purchases in a company who has 100% customer service & can put a customer at ease when its needed. Now I know better.

I am now very concerned that they have my bank details & Credit card info.
My confidence in this company looking after my details is the same as what most people feel about the government department who managed to loose the data on people who receive child support. GRIM....
I will cancel my credit card and get a replacement sent & get my account monitored.

Is there a way I can get my details removed off this company's database? & get my cash back? as I have no intentions of using them again.

Any help advices is appreciated.

I use a Bigfoot.com email that is a redirect service I have used for the past 10years without any problems at all.

I have also manually checked my main email pop account to see if any message where missed by my email client as NTL/Virgin still provide a way to check pop email accounts via a web based interface.

The same has happened to me. I completed an online order for a colleague in the office (used her contact details etc) on the 07/11 and still no delivery. There has never been a confirmation email, no email response to "contact us" and 2 VM messages unanswered. Does anyone have another number to contact them on? the game was Thrilleville Off the Rails.

soft uk is one of my personally blacklisted sites. I won't touch them.
I've heard far too many bad things about them.

Hi Fergee have they taken the money out for the purchase yet?

I have recieved today 1 of the 2 items I ordered.
On the Reciept it has both items listed with 1 item with a line running through it & AWS scrawlled next to it.
I assume AWS means awaiting stock?
However SoftUK has still seen fit to take the Full amount for both items from my bank account! "Bunch of :pirate:"
Still no emails explaining the situation nothing not even the original order email.

Steven Wright who is a member of HUKD & Boss of SoftUK has responded to the PM I sent him on the 27th Nov So lets see how or what action is taken.

Personally I think somebody in softuk needs to start kicking a¬$e and start gripping the staff bigtime.

Fergee I would say send an PM to Steven Write and see if he can help you out.

i didnt get a game from them which i ordered so i emailed them. joe replied back saying he would get a replacement snt to me that day. so far 2 weeks later, none has come. despite 10 emails to them, 10 telephone calls always line engaged or answering machine on which i left 3 messages, nothing has been done.
they take your money and do you a runner.
i will contact my bank as i paid by visa to get my money back. will never deal with them again and report them to trading standards.

Since I last posted I still have not had any contact with these SOFTUK cowboys.
No matter I will go out of my way to ensure this company is black listed.
My bank has informed me that I can proceed with getting my funds back 26 days after the order was placed, at which point they will deal with it on my behalf.
I will then contact the trading Standards with all the relevant details.
Personally the more people who push there complaint to the Trading Standards the better.
I am sick and tired of being held to ransom by INTERNET company's who think its OK to take my money & stop all forms of communications there after & then for me to have to chase them to get my money back its tantamount to day light robbery & needs to be stopped.
Somebody needs to be held accountable and for the law to come down hard on these offenders.
But we are not alone here, heres another site with members who are having problem with SoftUK
