As above really I got the card tried it in my comp, it didn't work so sold it on as For parts or not working on ebay.

The guy is claiming that there aren't any thermal pads & not enough thermal paste on the gpu's? Which means he's obviously taken it apart.

Where do I stand on this surely he cant dispute it otherwise what's the point of even having a For parts or not working description?

I wouldn't have thought he would win a dispute if you stated that it wasn't working. I think maybe he is just trying it on to see if you'll just refund him, its his problem he took a risk and it didn't pay off.

Just empty your paypal so they can't just take the money off you.

Probably just needed a part off it so he's swapped it and trying a fast one now.

True might be worth doing just incase, it clearly states in the description -:

For parts or not working

An item that does not function as intended or is not fully operational. This includes items that are defective in ways that render them difficult to use, items that require service or repair, or items missing essential components.


Surely he doesn't have a leg to stand on, but then again you never know with ebay/paypal.

Common sense says no chance of them getting a refund
oh didn't notice the paypal bit, expect them to refund from your account


That's it I've heard a few paypal scare stories over the years. Here's my description -:

Faulty HD 4870x2 Fans spins up but no display plus there's a red led possibly overheating or maybe my psu isn't powerfull enough i'm no expert so wouldn't know where to start tbh.

No Reserve Grab a Bargain!

Sold as Faulty so no returns

i would really recommend letting paypal know the situation by phone.. they usually are quite understanding, and won't refund if you explain the problem, otherwise they tend to just side with the buyer and sweep the case under the carpet.. hopefully common sense will prevail
