Someone give me ideas for night jobs......pleeeeease xx

I've been working nights as a home carer for the past 18 months but there's not a lot of work at mo. The problem is, wherever I am I have to leave at about 6am and can't start till 9pm due to hubby's shifts and having the kids. I've tried care homes, hotel reception, petrol stations, supermarkets even Maccy D's with no luck......
I don't wanna sound greedy but I really don't want to be working for minimum wage either. I wonder if you guys can think of something else....pleeeeeeeeease xx

Oh.....and not the obvious ....before someone ppes up with that lol

Mobile security, you don't tackle anyone, more keep an eye out on places covered, normally over industrial estates for burglaries and report them as they are happening. Being a weed won't matter, I think you do need some form of SIA licence though now.

My bruv's a cabbie.....so have thought about it but it worries my hubby a bit - thinks I'll be attacked while taking someone to the OAP lunch or something lol. Also, need a newer car and a lot to fork out on up front :(
But it is still a thought, thanks hun x

Had to take my lad to A+E one night a month back. If they don't pay at least a grand a night I wouldn't touch it. The morons and drunks you get in there are unbelievable. . .

I know! We took my daughter once at late night, its a totally different scary world out there in the A&E reception X) ....one after another rough looking guys coming with bloody wounds!

Receptions are not alone though, could see security guards actively monitoring.

All security persons must have a licence on display, strange as I'm exempt from having mine on display :)

Any call centres local? I know some operate 24hours. How you would find out though I dont know. Other than that drop into your local jobcentre and see if they can suggest anything and also employment agencies? I know they can be a pain to sign upto but might be able to help?

Warehouse/Factory nightwork aswell? Theres also cleaning nightwork

Hope you find something :)

My neighbour used to fill shelves in our 24 hour Tesco at night. She always used to get home just after 6am so I presume she finished at 6. Not sure what time she started though. I am sure a lot of the supermarkets must do this.

Thanks for all ur suggestions guys.....a few to look into there, much appreciated xx

Nah, you don't really wanna go down that road. That's usually a very last resort. Think if your kids ever found out....... ;)

(Soz, missed the 'obvious' reference in the op, but thought I'd leave it anyway as it took some editing on my mobile :D)

I think bossy is trying to point out that she has young children who are not schooling age so she has home all day, so working in a school is out , as for the childminding there are loads of rules and regs , qualifications to be a childminder .

If the kids are at home what is the op going to do, work all night, then stay up all day with the kids, then go back to work on the night?
