I would pay for a company to put it on the wall, they ussaly then cover the TV, so if for some reason it fell off the wall they would have to pay you for the repair / new TV

Fixing it to the wall is the easy bit, hiding all the wires is the hard bit !

Yeah I'm not really bothered about hiding all the wires, I will just buy some of that white plastic stuff from b and q, there is gonna be a lot of wires right enough, ps3, 360, wii and sky hd box.

Is your wall dry lined with plasterboard, solid brick or breezeblock

these three options will determine what fixings you should use

I'm Pretty sure it's solid brick, tried putting a nail in it once and it just bent in half

don't do it man

get a decent stand - much cooler

if you're hell bent on putting it on a wall, at least try to resist putting it too high up - that is way un-cool

In your manual that come with your tv it will give a model of bracket/fixtures that should be used. It will say that they should be insured to do it,I think my Sony tv manual said about Sony dealers who like authroized to do it. Not put mine on wall however, wouldn't chance it,still need a cabinet unit for everything else to go in and on anyway.

I have a stand, it cost me 300 quid and has loads of speakers built nto it, it looks ace but there is only enough space on it for 2 things!

i wanna put my tv on the wall to get that little extra space on the stand. Anyways you see them on people's wall and they look ok

Have a go at this and then tell me that a stand is cooler.

errr - yes - a stand is much cooler than this

tv way too high

everyone is welcome to their own opinion, but i'm the type who sits towards the back of the movies and looks straight at the screen rather than sit in the front row and have a sore neck

my own favourites are cantilever stands

they give the illusion the tv is just hanging with hardly any support and, in my opinion, are much nicer than having a tv stuck 5' up a wall

and lets be honest - a lot of these "projects" end up looking a bit half a$sed

done properly and not mounted too high, they're nice, but a hell of a lot of work

posh lady customer once told me in my first few weeks of working for Currys that "Only Scum have their tv on the wall" and when I remarked that it was quite a sweeping generalisation she came back with "Drug dealers, chavs and footballers, all scum".

oh dear....

Surely the obvious answer is to look in the Classifieds.
