Going to see Shrewsbury in the play off final on 23 May arrive at Marylebone at 11.30 and need to leave around 1.30 to go to Wembley. Is there anything we can do quickly near to Marylebone? And what's the cheapest way to buy tube tickets, 2 adults and 3 kids, 12, 13, & 14. thanks in advance for any help.

I'd suggest just having a walk around the southbank, near the Houses of Parliament, then jumping on a fast Jubilee line tube to Wembley. You haven't really got that much time to play with, so Madame Tussards is out of the question. (You would be queueing over an hour just to get in!)

Dont get to the ground too late. Soak in the atmosphere... good luck (who ever it is you are playing.... haven't a clue!)

London Eye?

Good call..... and in the same area as I've suggested. Only fallback.... if its very busy, they may need more than 2 hours and its also pretty expensive!

the best thing that we ever did was go on a thames clipper cruise
We got on right by the o2 arena and got off right by the London Eye
Brilliant way to see multiple sights of London
Cheers and gl

I've just realised that the O2 (north greenwich I think) is on the same 'line' as Wembley

I travelled from Chester, got off the M1 at Sandford (very close to motorway and much easier to park) and got the tube (via Wembley) to the O2 Arena at North Greenwich

Actually, the O2 is a creditable destination in itself . . . . loads to do and see

I'd also suggest walking around and enjoying the sights. Not enough time for an 'event' what with queuing time etc, not to mention cost! Bring a rug and have a picnic in one of the Parks if it's a nice day - Regent's Park maybe?

I went to Madame Tussauds on a Sunday last year, and didn't have to queue for more than 10 minutes, must have got lucky.

Whilst the parks are nice, it's not something I would think a child would want to do, or remember for a trip to "The Big Smoke". For us "Oop North" the cost isn't really a factor when going to London which you might do once every few years.

Book your flight on the eye online and you can choose a time and will only spend a short time queuing... the flight itself is 30 mins, I reckon you will have enough time to do it.

£8.50 for kids
£17.00 for adults

we went a few weeks ago, it was peeing it down, paid £60 for 2 adults & 2 children. The bus came and it was packed, standing room only, no-one wanted to sit upstairs coz of the rain. The windows were steamed up so we couldnt see out......OH asked for a refund as it was gonna be a waste of time.
