Can someone check something for me please...

When shutting off your e-reader does it ghost image your main screen while showing the exclamation mark or does it just show the exclamation mark?

I'm having a problem when reading books that sometimes when turning the page it is ghosting the previous page as well showing the new one, going to the next page & then going back normally sorts it out but obviously it shouldn't be doing this, as it only happens intermittently if I take it back to Waterstones for a replacement then I can pretty much guarantee it's going to be working perfectly when trying to show them what is happening.

However it always ghosts the main page when showing the shutdown exclamation mark so wondered if everyone's does this or if this is a fault that I can show them. I can't remember if it's done this from the start or not.

tbh that is what e-ink screens seem to do from my experience, there is always a bit of ghosting almost like image burn if a screen has been left on the same thing for a while, it doesnt last though and when you cycle through another page it should clear

its not ideal i know but seems to be pretty common place

you might also notice if you turn the unit completely off it leaves the remnants of the previous screen

When it starts doing it it does it for at least 20 or more pages.

eg I turn a page & get ghost image so turn another page & then go back & it's ok but when I turn another page it's ghosting again, so I'm turning 2 pages forward & then back one. It's not just the odd page when it starts it keeps on happening.

Thats why I wondered if when turning it off completely you get the ghost image on shutdown or if you just get the exclamation mark & nothing else showing. Once its off I don't get an remnants of a ghost image.

hmm see i work in a certain electronics store where we stock these things and i often notice remnants of certain pages (particularly the loading logo) on the screens, seems commonplace throughout all the ones i have seen, though i havnt really noticed it on pages of text from books

dont know if thats any concelation but i dont think yours is faulty id have to see it, it shouldnt be leaving a ghost after every single page though i dont think.. ill have a play with ours at work and inspect the ghosting further never paid it too much attention
