I plugged my w880i in my computer using a USB, in which it restarted and just froze. I unplugged it and then it wouldn't turn back on :x

Any ideas whats wrong with it? Anyone else had problems?

Cheers

download and install this:
http://www.sonyericsson.com/downloads/Update_Service_Setup-2.7.9.14-1.exe
then follow the instructions to update the phone!

hope this helps!

The W880i has a hardware problem where it turns itself off, it could be due to that - or you tried updating the firmware & it lost power mid-way & caused a software fault.

Either one can be resolved by your network provider :)

i hope you selected safely remove hardware from the windows task bar before you unplugged it.

if the SEUS program doesnt work, you will need to manually flash the 'main' firmware - i can help with that if you want.

remove battery for a good 5 mins or so, put back in, leave it switched on for about an hour or so. many se phones can fix themselves. my old k750i did.

chances are it'll be the same problem nearly all SE phones have, happned to me twice, not much you can do without sending it back to SE via where you got it from

I sent it back now anyway =/ It wouldnt turn itself on at all, so I figured wasn't much I could do.
Could you explain "flashing" anyway?

its the technical term for reloading the firmware/software (whatever you want to call it).
