hi can anyone who uses the PSN tell me if this transaction is from the PSN, its showing £10.99 has been paid to sony online, now my partner has got a ps3 but he never buys anything from the store and if he did he would of asked me if there was enough in the bank, i had my nephew stay over on saturday so im wondering wether the cheeky monkey has bought something without asking.

The new maps for Black Ops cost £10.99, they came out on Friday 10th.

If you go to "Account Manaagement" on the PS3, it will show your purchases, and more importantly, it will show what has been downloaded.

I would remove your card from the PS3, because things like this can happen, and it is cheaper to buy PSN network cards for purchases.

thanks, ive got a feeling its my nephew then as hes always on about black ops, if he did download on my partners ps3 he wont be able to use it on his ps3 at home will he?
#3
If he signs in with your account then yeah he can, you can activate psn content on 5 different machines..
#4
So long as there's no Pr0n store the credit card details can be used with on the PS3 oO:{
#5
just waiting for my sister to get up and come online then she can ask him, i know he will deny it but its got to be him haha will have to get my partner to check on his ps3 after, its hooked up to his projector and i havent got a clue what im doing.
#6
When purchases are made, an e-mail is sent to the registered PSN e-mail address as well, this has always been almost instantaneous when my son buys stuff on PSN. This will give you a time-stamp.
#7
ive just checked my partners emails and cant see anything, so my partners either not seen it or just deleted it thinking it was a rubbish email. my partner doesnt own black ops so if it does turn out to be the maps i will know it was my nephew. im puzzled with my online banking today, theres more money in it than yesterday but nothings been credited, i paid for a 2tb harddrive from tesco direct on saturday and its not showing as being paid yet but everything else i bought on saturday is. then there was this £10.99 but think ive sorted that now.

The subject of the e-mail does say it is a PSN purchase confirmation, so it would hard for it to be deleted in error.

I don't think it's possible for the end user to verify that it has been downloaded on a specific console, so I would remove the details and cancel the card if he doesn't "fess up".

If he does, just remove the card.

Maybe it is because I always use PSN cards, or an option I have selected?
I always get and save them. One is even sent when my son buys an avatar.

my sister just asked my nephew and he denyed it then she said i was going to ring the police and he admitted it lol she said hes crying now, i feel bad now, didnt want to get him in trouble just wanted to know what it was and with the psn getting hacked and that i wasnt sure as i knew my fella never buys anything.
suspended#12
Good to be on the ball tho op, because if them hackers take a small amount like that off a million people thats 11 million quid

Thats how a lot of scammers get away with it, by taking a little at a time.

He'll need to sign into your boyfriend/hubby's account on his (nephew) PS3 and download it to his console.

Tell him the Police will be visiting him at school today to interview him about this.................just for jokes. X)

He can't use it on his own PS3 unless he has your partners e-mail address(easy to get from your partners console) and his password(next to impossible to get from the console).

It can't be removed from the download list.

Edited to add: Does he have the new maps on his console? If not, your sister can go on Black Ops, and try and play "Call of the dead" on Zombies.
If it can be played, then he has the new maps.

im not sure to be honest, i presume hes been playing it on his console as he told my sister he downloaded on his, but he stayed at mine on saturday night which is when the bank says it was paid for so he must of done it on my partners. im not going to tell my partner as he will be more mad than me. my sisters grounded him and told him hes not having his ps3 for a while lol thats all he will be bothered about. he makes me laugh when he tries to deny something even when you know hes done it he still trys to get away with it for aslong as he can.
#19
To avoid possible future problems then perhaps set it so you need to enter your password before making any purchases. You can do this from account management.

How olds your nephew
#21
hes 12, i know hes young to play the game but he just likes playing online against his mates, i went on my partners account before but i dont know his password to do anything on it, so will have to ask him when he gets in from work tonight.

12's not that young. He should know not to steal by that age.

i meant young to play black ops, he should know better not to steal i agree.
#23
Did he think no one would notice? He'd get a kick up the backside if he was mine. I'd be raging if it had been one my kids doing that without asking never mind a relative. I take it he's offered to pay for it?

If I ever get to the point that I have to check if I have £11 in my bank, I'll prob just kill myself. It's not about spending money on rubbish, or being able to afford something. You said he would check if you had it in the bank!

i mean to see if we have enough in spare for it, not that i only have a few pounds in the bank, some weeks we have more to spend on things like that and other weeks we have to watch what we spend due to bills mortgage going etc. aslong as my kids are fed and watered each week thats all that matters.

haha im the best auntie, he was my first nephew so ive always spoilt him and been soft with him. he knows hes done wrong and i forgive him.
#39
Why did your hubby have credit card stored on PSN if he never buys anything?
#40
he has bought stuff over the years he has had it but its very rare he does these days as he doesnt get much time on it with working till 10pm and then busy with kids when hes off.

can i just ask if anyone knows, the black ops map he paid for are on my partners ps3, i dont think they have been downloaded to his console from when i looked on it before, i thought my nephew had been using the maps on his ps3 but he hasnt, is there a way he can now get these maps on his ps3, someone said to log in to my partners account on my nephews ps3, is it as simple as that. surely my nephew wont be able to download them to his ps3 as otherwise everyone would be doing it.
