me think op needs a hyperdermic needle - http://mikeresponts.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/syringe72.jpg

i'm bit busy atm, but if no one has done you one by this afternoon I'll do it bod.
#4
sounds tricky to do well imho. I would just buy a syring and fill it with wrappers then take a photo :P
banned#5
So you're wanting like.. it to be transparent apart from the Needle and the wrappers?

If yes. Someone would need to render both the needle and the wrappers so that they fit together without having a white background over the top etc.

How big would you like it, :)

I do a level computer based graphics design so I can probably help.

True,
Finding a big needle I don't think will be difficult but not everybody goes around taking photo's of sweet wrappers you know?

Thats what i was thinking..

Maybe the OP could get something like a test-tube and ram it full of wrappers.. take pictures and someone can photoshop that with a syringe picture.

Job done

HAha!
What about this? xD

*MEH doesn't work.. * I'l upload.

Maybe you could manipulate this picture using the clone tool

Don't have PS at work so unable to do it. Over to the experts

I'm currently rendering a needle LOL xD
banned#13
MEh, i'l do this properly when I get back from work if no one has done it..

however, I did a quick render of some sweets.. no wrappers..

it's fully transparent background and when downsized to 50%.. it's smoother than at 100.

Is there someone out there who would like to go in to work for me this afternoon too? Bucket loads of rep and tons of warmth?

Also, if you click the link to the sweets..
my version when very small ( before you zoom in.. ) looks rather nice and tasty xD

vgood attempt vengod, thats what i'd envisaged - can I suggest using liquify with a farily small brush at the top end of the sweet image just to make it look rounded and give it some perspective - you can go all out by dulicating the syringe image to show the higlighting of the reflection from the glass.

Wow, don't quite know how I missed your post, yes exactly along those lines, that's superb

Maybe if you doubled up on the sweet picture and drew back the syringe a bit it would give a more detailed view.

Ah, that is a good concept indeed.
:)

I'd Do it for you if I had it at work, Maybe conscept could do it as he has done a great job thus far. Don't think it would take that long., If he cannot I will do it for you tonight

www.psdtuts.com ( shows many creative tutorials.. like NEW techniques ) I'd use that to look at what can be achieved.

As for tutorials..

Those might help,

I also run a graphics forum full of many learners :)

How about this?
completely transparent again.

I got some bubbles in the sringe to try make it look a little more real if you know what I mean?

Sringe 1 -
Lighter colours on the sweets..

Direct Link - http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/2336/sringe1.png

Sringe 2 -
Overlay of the sweets to make it more darker and a little sharper.

You really know what you're doing don't you :-D
That is superb! I'm just trying to compatre the 2 to see which looks better, brb.

Haha!
Ok.

You can place on any colour background as long as you save it and don't just copy and paste it :)

If you need me to improve the picture then let me know. Also, if you need it as a gif, ie. transarent then let me know. Like yours conscept, good work.

Also bro,
if you're creating a leaflet. Don't stick to boring fonts.. :)

A great website for you is..

www.dafont.com
packed full of fonts, set into sections..
To install just place the file you download into
My computer -> Your main Hardrive usually C drive -> Windows -> Fonts and it will install it, then when you're writing something just look for that font and it'l show up.

@conscept: I think the second one defines the sweets slightly better than the first - I love it!

I'm going to give all the pictures to my other half and let her choose which one she wants to use.
Thought I was pushing my luck on this one, but once again the misc'ers have done themselves proud!
Special thanks to Conscept, adzcool, sadiebabes, summonder, vengod and kemo for wasting their Monday afternoon on photoshop for me
Time to spread the rep I think.

Ha thanks, not a waste bro. It sounds to me like it's going for a good cause, :)

Like seriously if she needs help designing an actual flyer / poster or anything just give me a shout.

I'm off to get ready for work, Laters!

Oh, one last thing.
She might not like the default Yellow colour of the sringe..

However, this can be changed to an extent there's ways to do that so if she would like to use but change the colour of that just ask.
