Spam Emails

Just finished watching Reporting Scotland (the news) and you wont believe this but a guy who received a spam letter with an advert in it that he didnt want took the company to court and won lol

He said you wouldnt obviously be able to take overseas spam companies to court but its quite easy to take people from tehe UK to court.

Pretty much a good idea if a certain company keeps hitting you, just tell them your going to take them to court and they will stop !!

might work ;-)

great idea to threaten, but i think its a bit ott just to stop some spam lol

Not really OTT if you own a domain and have 'catch all' for the emails...

Over 150 spam emails and spoofed undeliverables a day is a complete pain in the arse.

A handful of these cases and any spammer with half a clue will be proxying and bouncing the direct involvement to spam servers so as to make it extremely hard to prove in court nearly impossible.
I cannot see any authority to put in the resources needed for what is basically a nusisance and easily gotten round with decent providers/software.

Lovely in theory, just impossibly practically to take all UK spammers to court.

But likes of Dixons, if i kept on recieving emails from them i could take them to court, im only on about companys that are spamming people with advertd for the company,
this would be proof of "spamming" in court wouldnt it?
