No app but there is a workaround using multitasking.

I personally have "Create new message" and "Message folder" as my home menu shortcuts.

When writing a reply, open the New Message one, then hold the centre key and return to the home screen.

Open the "Message folder" and then view the received message.

Use the centre key to switch between messages.

Job done :)

Sorry, don't know the answer to your question, but there's one I would like to ask 5800 users (sorry to hijack your thread).
When I am typing a text - on predictive texting - and I press no. 4 then no. 8 for the word 'it' it always comes up as 'ht' and I then have to press the * key to get the right word up. 'ht' isn't even a word.
Does anyone know how to stop it doing this, or how to delete a word from the dictionary? It's driving me nuts. Thanks.

Mine did that, I accidentally typed a wrong word and it added it to the dictionary, then came up automatically as you described. I couldn't find an answer so i bought a Desire instead.

Not really, but i could never find the answer!!

I know how you feel. My bf does that to me. I've got a Sony Ericsson and that helps because you can cut from inbox to drafts using the shortcut key.
Probably of no help what-so-ever for you. But in case you want to get rid of your phone for a SE? lol

I've had that happen a few times, what i do is just open a text, type "it" and switch it from HT to IT, and just keep doing it until IT comes up first. usually changes back in about 10 goes for me.

Edit: does that makes sense? lol

It does make sense. I had hoped it would have 'sensed' by now that 'it' was the word I used, but it hasn't. It's been doing it for weeks.

Here you go - threaded messaging:

http://betalabs.nokia.com/apps/conversation (not quite bubbles, but it'll do the same job)

BTW, anyone who has the wrong word coming up in predictive texts: it's been a while since i last used a Nokia, but I am pretty sure you can edit/amend the T9 dictionary...

That's really strange. Deffo works on mine, just checked again. Maybe sometimes when you are trying to type IT you forget to switch it first? That's why I just type the word I want to change in over and over again, switching every time, then I'm thinking about what I'm doing. has always worked for me, but maybe my phone is set up differently. Sorry

Nice one! But i don't see the 5800 in the download list? You know which download will work with it?

you need this. Works for 5800 and "Follow text message conversations easily with Nokia Ovi Suite’s threaded conversation view.

With Nokia Ovi Suite you can read your text messages in a threaded conversation view – just like email or instant messaging.

In Messaging, when you select a message in your All folder or one of your smart groups, the message thread will appear in the conversation pane on the right.

Scroll to read the conversation history or send a message. New messages appear in the conversation when you sync your device."
