just heard 2 speedboats have collided just off samui with 60-70 people on board.........its the night of the full moon party and the waters are really rough with virtually no visibility.

fingers crossed for all those aboard but its looking bleak.......

quite a few people died in 2005 with an accident there

its thailand and it generally works for thousands of people every month for years......

its a stormy night , rough waters and pitch black.

baring in mind these are the first reports and not 100% confirmed the amount of people, but those speedboats would be full

you seriously really wouldnt want to fall in that water, lifevest or not .....scary stuff

ive had a few hairy moments myself......gotta stay sat down at the back to keep the weight down

Has someone just phoned you CW? Hope no-one you know was involved.
I just looked at the 2005 accident and it said that the main cause was overcrowding.

looks like a lot have been injured but its not clear if all persons have been accounted for

theres a lot of conflicting stories goiing around in various press, but the consensus is that there is possibly 2 people unaccounted for......

various injuries, broken ribs, fractured back etc

this could have been a hell of a lot worse, respect to the other boats in the vicinity for reacting so quickly
