i think people should be pulled for going to slow, i hate being stuck behind someone in a 40zone doing 30 its so annoying. im a careful driver and never drive over the limit so i always get people up my backside, but id rather be safe with my kids in the car. i might go over slightly but as soon as i notice i slow down. im constantly checking my speed.

Erm, they're supposed to stop you from going to fast and thus making it less likely that you'll crash or cause an accident? Not that I'd particularly worry if someone was going too fast and topped themselves, but what about other drivers/pedestrians that could get hurt? Bit of a retarded comment tbh...

Hopefully it was a speed camera, and I would suggest you take the speed awareness course if it was, may discourage you from speeding in future. Speed limits are there for a reason.

pink-ka seems to think the number on the circular road sign is the correct speed to drive at, this is not so and it isn't the "correct speed" but the max speed allowed, if people wish to drive at 35 in a 40 it gives you no right to sit on their backside being annoying

A couple of weeks ago a policeman was at the edge of the road with one of these guns! He had a motorbike though and was on his own.

First time I have seen them do it like that.

I totally agree , just wondering what speed op was doing to be worried !...........i got a £60 fine and 3 points a few years back for doing 32 in a 30 zone !!!.........

They do use speed camera's by hand still but they have to pull you over.

considering a speed gun is a type of camera, and not a weapon. i think you were being monitored for how fast you were going.

Surely a good motorist drives to the conditions/ enviroment, its daft saying "I stick exactly to the upper speed limit" thinking you are perfect when in fact if conditions change like for eg parked cars/kids playing/animals you should slow down . A speed limit is a max limit, don't always think you should stick to it ffs

i dont get up there backside, as i know how annoying it is as i said in an earlier post. if you were stuck behind someone doing 20mph in a 30 or 30mph in a 40 on a long stretch of road im sure it would annoy most people.
