In our house we are starting to get a real problem with spiders. And they are huge!

And i am starting to get a real phobia, it started this time last week when we had one crawling across the room, i squashed it, and that was fine.. everyone gets spiders occasionally don't they?

Then i went upstairs into my bathroom on the same night and found another one on the wall.... Now i was really starting to get nervous. I didn't use that bathroom for a week.
Then nothing turned up for about a week, so i was starting to feel comfortable in the house again.
Went downstairs last night for a packet of crisps and found another one by the back door, yet again it was huge.....
So everytime anything touches my foot i jump i am really scared, i still look around my bathroom for them before i go in.

Then about 5 minutes i was lying in bed, with some music plugged into my laptop and then i feel this jump on my shoulder...
I jumped out of bed and yelled OH MY GOD! (waking the whole house up) as the spider ran underneath my duvet.
SO now the light is on full blast and i dont think ill be getting any sleep tonight....
Does anyone know how to get rid of spiders?
Like something i can spray or put down on a night to lighten my fears?

Thanks..

You squash spiders? That's bad man, cup them and release is the way to go.

My daughter is terrified of them, has me up all night, catching the little blighters, but I never kill them, that's wrong, man, so wrong!!!

i have to squash them or i wont go in the room, i didnt squash the one in the bathroom, hence why i still look when i go in...

Does anyone have any answers to the questions at the end?

You can get plug in devices that are meant to keep creapy crawlies away...no idea if they are any good though. I'll see if I can find a link...
This sort of thing.

They like to come indoors at this time of year as it's getting colder and they want a nice warm nest for the winter and their babies.

Man... I so hope nobody is marketting these things as bug plugs :w00t:

This is the time of year that the spiders make their way into the main house. Seasons are changing and they are moving to warmer areas. Keep your duvet in the freezer and bed may not be so attractive for them LOL

I do really understand btw

i have those net screen things on my windows, well the windows that i allow to be opened to stop and kind of creatures in the house, although the last week we have had 2 massive spiders and about 6 small ones in - i am also petrified of them

Ya having a Giraffe aint ya... how big do you think my bloody freezer is like :?

I'd imagine the other spiders have came in because you've squashed one, was probably the mum or something.

They probably know it was you who killed it hence it jumping on your shoulder.

You'll have to be careful now in every room you go in at your house, you never know where there gonna be waiting for you.

Nothing else for it you're going to have to move! They've decided to terrorize u for squishing their cousin.

Try not to sleep with your mouth open!

Cup it, slide a bit of card under and take it outside.
