England win another warm up match convincingly, lets see if they can continue the winning run well into the tournament. Next England game 22/02/10 vs Netherlands. Should be a walk in the park really.

Another...?? That has to be there first one day convincing win for a while they've been right off the boil. But good time for them to bounce back, Struass seems to be struggling for runs and although Colly got some good runs today I think his time should be coming to an end soon

The difference between England and the rest is that England don't score big centuries. They get in and then get out. That is why they are world 20/20 champions but fail in the 50 over format.

If kp hits form England can go all the way they have the best bowling unit there and fielding is excellent just needs sensible batting around him
Winner will surely come from group b with south Africa my tip if England don't.

Just KP hitting form is not enough. You need 3 or 4 batsman in form. That showed in the Ashes.

Kp in form with sensible batting around him too many throwing there wickets away in Australia.

Also good to see broad back 2 5fors in 2 games.

1 thing the current England management and selectors seem to do best is have the players ready at the right time as showed with the ashes
#16
kp is a match winner, but you got to have the whole team play well, strauss has got to start getting into double figures.

Australia ease to win in their opening game.

England's first match tomorrow against Netherlands, should be a straight forward win for England despite them losing to Netherlands in a Twenty20 game in 2009.

Kevin Pietersen will be opening the batting with strauss, Prior looks good in his middle-order role and Broad is on fire at the moment.
#23
England match begins in 10 mins

Netherlands won the toss and elected to bat - swann back

[b]England team

AJ Strauss*, KP Pietersen, IJL Trott, IR Bell, PD Collingwood, RS Bopara, MJ Prior†, TT Bresnan, SCJ Broad, GP Swann, JM Anderson

agreed, they should wrap this up now, but if they had fielded like that against a better team, they would have been thrashed!

dropped catches, over throws, sloppy fielding. India next Feb 27, cannot afford to play like that!
#30
Does anyone know of a good rss feed for live world cup cricket scores;
The cricinfo one gives all the scores including domestic matches; I am looking for rss feed which gives only world cup scores

Only beating the dutch with 8 balls to spare isn't the greatest of starts. Wait until you England face a good team like the mighty Ireland, then you'll be in trouble!!
[mod]#33
Good batting performance from England for a change. I am not worried. I would rather see then on form with their batting at this stage. Their bowlers had an off day.

bowlers and fielders, lol

Never seen so many errors in the field at this level, it was quite comical.
#36
England will come back from this. There is no chance of it happening again and they will beat all the lower 4 teams in the group. Can't say the same for the rest but we will be in the next round without a doubt.

Bowling and fielding were woeful at best today.
That being said it cannot be any worse come Sunday which is apparently a track offering more to the bowlers.
At least most of the top order got a look in and no failures so good from that aspect

India are in a completely different league to Netherlands, if they field/bowl like that, Sehwag & co are gonna annihilate England.

Pakistan win their opening game in the world cup against Kenya.

wobbly start from Pakistan losing 2 early wickets 2/12, but they recovered to 317/7 which turned out to be a too higher score for Kenya who could only manage 112.

Big match tomorrow, South Africa v West Indies
