starting a weight loss challange

hi all, i was going to start weight watchers tommorrow but my sister said to me that we should both get weighed at boots and the one whos losses the most each week will get £5 of the other one.
i dont know if i should go to weight watchers as i find it hard to stick to a diet if i am weighing myself. you all know how hard it is.
i think it would be easyer to go and get weighed at weight watchers, might do both.
anyone doing a diet at the moment and getting great results?

the only thing that ever made me lose weight and keep it off was the gym i lost 1 stone 8lbs in 6 weeks.
its good because it also gives you more energy so you dont want to chill out too much and over eat.

^^^This, I think it's almost impossible to change a lifetimes eating habbits so hit it the opposite way and eat what you usually do but exercise it off. Gyms are daunting places for overweight, unfit people so start at home if you feel this way.

Forget weight watchers sunny jim!!! and lose weight the way i do by waking up early in the morning and jog, run, jog in other words interval training slow, fast, slow and so on. If your not in shape run 1 to 3 miles and if your ripped like i am then 3-5 miles will do.... then again in the afternoon do some boxercise with 15-min-shadow boxing +15-min jump rope then if you have access to a boxing bag hit that baby with double, triple, quadruple combinations again for 15 mins and your done for the day (WEIGHTWATCHERS EAT MY SHORTS):-D:-D:p

yep gyms are daunting but after 2 weeks you will feel fab about yourself so then you dont bother about other people in there and what they may think lol.
i went for a gym that had a pool, sauna, steamroom etc and just the fact that you get that treat after your workout feels fab i always used to take my make up with me and come out of the feeling brilliant about myself.
i only wish i could afford to join back up as i could do with losing weight myself as i have pretty much put what i lost back on but bearing in mind it was nearly 7 years ago since i went.

i like the way you just called the op overweight and unfit:-D

problem is doing it at home is you end up not doing it, the gym is daunting but doesnt take long to get into it and theres no thinking ill just have a seat for 10 minutes and end up eating crisps and whatnot

BEFORE STARTING ANY EXERCISE ROUTINE I WOULD ADVISE YOU TO 1ST SEE A DOCTOR:)

Before getting weighed for the first time I suggest you drink a shed load of water first:-D

Slimming world is a lot better, I think. You get to eat loads on the Extra Easy plan and I lost a stone last year while still eating loads and having occasional meals out and drinks!

i have bought a electric treadmill, exercise bike, and my fella has a multi gym and one of the punch bag thingys that stand up, going to use these.
