InterContinental Hotels Group who run Holiday Inn have revealed that their customers could be victims of card fraud.
They are currently investigating claims that guests at their US hotels had found extra charges on their cards.
IHG have not revealed exactly what happened but it seems they may have been the victim of hackers. A security firm is curently investigating the issue.
A spokesman for IHG, said: '
We are committed to swiftly resolving this matter.
'In the meantime, and in line with best practice, we recommend individuals closely monitor payment card account statements.
'If there are unauthorised charges, individuals should immediately notify their bank.'Payment card network rules generally state cardholders are not responsible for such charges.'
