Right, as a blues season ticket holder i am somewhat ashamed at how my club is handling the Bruce to Wigan scenario..

Ok, i'm sure from bruce's point of view he must be pi**ed off with his 'agreed' contract not being honoured and the yeung 'supposed' takeover mess etc...but why Wigan? Yes ALOT more money, has worked for Whelan before and knows several of the players already there, ie, heskey, melchiot etc but...i can't see any other attraction.

But, i think Bruce has taken Birmingham as far as he can and maybe a new manager might be the way forward, but the timing of it and the fact the owners knocked back both Newcastle and Bolton straight away from even speaking to Bruce, this is a little strange. Maybe the 3 mil compensation package might have something to do with it.

So, if Bruce goes then fairenough, good luck to him, but WHO THE HELL IS GONNA COME IN???? !!!!!

The usual suspects will be thrown about...sounness, royle blah blah blah...but no thanks....Jewell? maybe...

As a blue nose this situation doesn't surprise me one little bit....what worries me most though is carson yeung's money and motives. Has he got any? Why is it all taking so long? If bruce isnt allowed his agreed contract while the takeover is going through then how can we agree one with a new manager? Something is definately not right at St Andrews.....and i am one unhappy blue nose ....

Thoughts anyone...? :santa:

You've got a blue nose, if it turns red then you've probably got a cold.

Personally, I think Whealen is crazy offering you any compensation for Fat Head!!!!!

It was obvious that Bruce didn't have a future at the club if / when the takeover goes through, so if I would of been him, I would of turned my back on Birmingham, just like they did to him with the contract offer!!!!!

He Is Probably Going To Wigan So He Can Be Closer To The Club He Loves Above All Others Manchester United.

to smithy i totally agree with you and think blues need a new manager ,bruce did a ok job but just could,nt seem to get the best out of his players, he spent alot of money on so called goal scorers but once they landed at blues the goals stopped then when they moved on they start scoring again... A little strange eh...! look at heskey he's goes to wigan and even gets playing back in a england team and played well. Blues were never the same team after bowen left and hate to say it savage when both went to blackburn As for yeung if he can't find £50 million to buy the club well the hell is the money gonna come from for players...... At this moment in time we the blues are in a mess and the vile from the other half of the city must be laughing there heads off.

Mighty?

It is Birmingham City FC you are talking about isn't it?:giggle:

Wigan and Birmingham are very similar clubs that will always be there or thereabouts fighting to stay in the Premier League so he's just moving to a similar situation. The main difference is, is that Whelan knows about football and would be a better chairman as he understands the game.

Sources tell me glenn hoddle will be next manager.

Yeh, but he does well with small clubs (eg Swindon), so things could be looking up for Birmingham if he went there!:giggle:

Shouldn't you be saying something like that when it doesnt apply to your own club?

Villa are a far bigger club than Birmingham. Don't trophies count in your eyes?

Lets do a count up of trophies. You first.......

Haha, so true.

And from a Coventry city supporter i must say that Villa are the biggest team in the midlands.

Winning League titles, FA Cups, European Cups, doesnt normally represent "luck". Are you suggesting that Birmingham are just unlucky because they've never won anything? You have very strange logic.

u aint a big club ....... nor are u likely to win anything present/future

Who's this "U"? And are you suggesting that Birmingham ARE likely to "win anything present/future" (relegation aside of course.)

There is. They won the English major Cup competition in 1987. A long long time ago granted, but far more recent than 1963 and a mickey mouse trophy!

woh woh woh......

At the end of the day Villa are a bigger club then us (blues)....always have been. Not ashamed to admit, it's fact.

Unless we get a decent manager in and have some major investment we will like many other clubs try and just survive in the top flight rather than pushing for the top half, europe etc.

I say get Barry Fry back in if only for entertainment value !! :w00t:

And that in a nutshell is all I was saying! (And got accused of being a Villan - which I'm not!!!)

Quite agree. Bruce was a poor choice IMHO in the first place. He is someone who will use clubs as a stepping stone (like he did with Palace), though I'm puzzled at why Wigan would be a "better choice". Both Derby and Wigan are dead men walking.

Think yourselves lucky that Bryan Robson has a job!:whistling:

Bryan BORING robson eh.....thank god he has a job.

Maybe Mr Mourinho fancies a few years at Brum....? :whistling:

Dave Whelan has more money than sense. Bruce managed us for six weeks prior to Jewell taking over. He let most of the team go on free tranfers, then left to take the Birmingham job.

Can't beleive we wnat him back.:-(

How's Double Agent Ridgewell doing?

Could you also please tell me why a Villa fan would be jealous of your club?

Thankfully Rafa can't see past his Spanish keeper and can't keep Carson happy. Theres talk of a £10m deal on the cards and I think it will be money well spent:thumbsup:
[mod]#35
I'd take Reina over Carson all day long.........although Carson will be a good keeper with a couple of years top flight football under his belt. :)
