I'm in a conservative hot bed, but every time I see the conservatives banner "Vote for Change", I think well we've had Conservatives, we've had Labour the only change would be to vote lib dems. But my wife always votes labour she doesn't even have an interest in politics. She only does it because her parents tell her to, it infuriates me because it basically cancels my vote out.

The only choice we have is the Conservatives. They have certainly changed since their last time in power.

Have a look at http://www.theyworkforyou.com/ as well - really good to see what each MP actually believes in and what hey spend their money on.

I am considering lib dems at the moment, don't like labour and the conservatives haven't impressed me much even though I wanted to vote for them initially.

but whats to say that as soon as they GOT power, that wouldnt all change? remember labour were in the wilderness for years and kept changing leaders/policies until the public voted for them.

cameron worries me tbh-this election should be an utter cakewalk for him given the economic meltdown/sleaze/unemployment brown has presided over, and yet he clearly isnt going to get an overall majority.he just comes accross as a smarmy public schoolboy tbh and I think he has been woeful in the debates.

first time in years I have been undecided, but I just cant warm to cameron or any of his non policies-he just keeps bleating about "change",with no facts and figures.

deface your voting card

Why so many labour supporters on here, noticed in other threads too. Is it because labour are all bank rolling you with benefits? case closed.

no vote is a wasted vote

I will never vote Tory but still thinking over my vote - still haven't had one single leaflet/flyer about candidates in my area - think the postman has maybe decided not to post them so will have to do my research

i think too many people are getting caught up in the party leader rather than their constituency votes

but never think your vote is wasted
#14
Can't stand folk who vote a party because it's what my parents did, my family has always voted, my church tells me to vote, etc. Nonsense.

So you think keeping people in loss making jobs is the right way forward? Typical socialist!

First thing Cameron will do is raise VAT (in some way), it's the only way he can tax the poor without effecting his cronies to much.

yep-I saw the paxman interview where he was asked repeatedly whether or not he would raise vat and he refused to say so I guess that means he is thinking about it.

Lib dems are crap - labour are crap so convervatives is the only choice

All the signs point that way, and the morons that are a majority of the general public who think the recession was caused by larbour because ITV (torrie) and Sky (torrie) News tells them so.

Which is a GOOD thing.

I'd rather pay a tax of choice than be forced to pay through my NI.
#26
If labour put up a chimp, the people of the city I live in would vote it in, they still have that ex mining mentality of hating Thatcher.

Had leaflets from all the candidates so far, but only one canvasser who was from the BNP, who I prompty verbally tore him apart. So still undecided, wont be labour though, I could never do that.

No it won't. They will increase VAT to 20%, and then maybe to 22.5 or 25% but they won't alter the fact that most consumables are actually zero rated.

VAT at 25% jee wizz sounds like an amazing idea. Wonder why Labour never annouced it or why Torries never announced.

Mark my words it won't be a good tax rise whatever it is. If they get in.

How can you say that?
Labour reduced VAT to 15% - all that did was waste a lot of time. They should have given the housing market a boost by getting rid of ALL stamp duty for a year. Conservatives would have done that.
