Sign up to Spotify Open

http://www.spotify.com/uk/get-spotify/overview/

It's Free and no invitation is needed but you are restricted to 20 hours streaming per month (That should be more than enough)

I hope this saves everyone from having to see annoying Invite threads!

Nope they will stay the same as far as I'm aware.

There is also an ad free subscription you can now sign up to but offers no offline access or mobile access. It's £4.99/month which seems expensive.

I have Premium and wouldnt say I use it more than 1 hour a day.

I listen to music for on average 8-10hrs per day at the moment due to revision...I'd get through 24hours in 2-3 days!

Stop worrying about them, and just look past them.

Are you using Spotify instead of itunes or similar?

I generally just use it to find new music instead of wading through Youtube etc although Spotify social may change that for me now but even that isnt streaming so wouldn't dig into the 20 hours you get.

Maybe they should just be put into one giant request thread. There are so many individual ones about! Sure I can look past them, the title was more to make people aware that an invite isnt essential now to get Spotiify.

iWhat? :p
I have over 25k tracks on my PC, but use spotify sometimes as it is all tagged correctly and has music I don't listen to. Also handy for when on the laptop as I don't have anything but a handful of albums on there.
But a lot of the time I use spotify as its a legal way to listen to the music opposed to downloading music now, especially since the Digital Bill...;-)

Dunno, some awful software used by the masses ... so I've heard.

Haha digital bill. I imagine this may stop 1% of downloaders from actually downloading illegally.

LOL, to be honest I use WMP12 and it is no cop really at dealing with my music as I have to scroll the bottom bar about 5-6 times before it even shows all my music. Thus why I tend to use playlists. iTunes is crap at dealing with that many songs as well.
The only program that use to deal with it well was MediaMonkey but it has changed a lot thus stopped using it, although might see what it is like these days.

Until a few convictions are made...I agree. We shall see the enforcement.
I have been downloading for years, since the days of 56k downloading single tracks off napster!
But even I am stopping a lot of my downloads now, especially music and films as they are going to be pushed by the owners more then TV will be.

Thus I think it is already making more then 1% difference, although just means more people will start using things like SSL to hide their activity.
