Whenever my parents have moved and myself too,we just gone to supermarket. The thing is now, though most flatten them down ready to go for recycling,so if you can speak to someone and ask if they can keep some by for you and you will collect.

I know this isn't what you want, but we've bought a load of these for moving...

Don't buy anything. Register for your area on FREECYCLE, people always giving them away on there, when they finish with them. Good palce to get rid of accumulated stuff too good for tip as well

If you move with a major company they sometimes provide the boxes, probably like Brittania.

I've usually got man & van in past,or even further back when we not have much,we used to walk the stuff to where we were moving to,and only did a cpl taxi trips with really heavy stuff, microwave etc.

If you're using a removal company they should provide them.
If not then the supermarket is your best bet. You won't want the boxes to be too big as this just makes them heavy and awkward to lift. Lots of medium boxes all the same is better as then they stack well too.

We have moved 4 times the best bet is first to see if anyone you know has recenlty moved as they may have boxes. If not and you do not want to use supermarket one's we got quite a few from Homebase and Focus they are slightly stronger than the supermarket ones. We have also bought them from a local packaging warehouse look on the web or phone book for one most sell to private customers at about half price of retail boxes. We also found that the removal companies never gave us enough and the ones they sold as extras were very expensive. HTH

Try your local freecycle site (www.freecycle.org) My local one always seems to have people getting rid of their old but good packing boxes

A few hours ahead of you there
