Hey,

I was stung by a wasp today on my thumb, around 5, in work, pulled the black tail/sting out straight away.

I squeezed my thumb really tight to see if it would bleed but it didn't, I then just run cold tap water on it.

Got home now and my thumb is really swollen, and it hurts really bad.

What should I put on it?

Thanks guys and gals.

best thig over the counter is antisan cream. some people use bicarb of soda and things like that. (use the cream which is anti-histamine) although you should be ok without.
keep an eye out for infection though as this can turn nasty quick, most dont!

i think you may have been sung by a bee as you removed a sting, you may have squirted more of the venom in. vinegar does work for bee stings but makes wasp stings sting more as alkaline neutralises their venom, or is it the other way round? thats why i always recommenf the cream, oh and elevating the hand will help, and cool packs.
get well soon:thumbsup:

It doesn't sound like a wasp as their stinger is retractable whereas bees usually have a barbed sting which after they've inserted into a mammal will break away.

lol-if wasps sang they would sing horrible songs cos they are the *******s of the insect world, bees would sing catchy toons:thumbsup:
