Stupid DHL!

Been waiting for a parcel from Dublin since last Thursday. Found out yesterday that it was sitting in the local DHL depot since Friday. They promised to deliver this morning, but no show. I contacted them and they said that the driver tried to deliver but the recipient refused to accept it. I told them that I was the only one at home and did not refuse to accept the package (a PDA from Palm). They contacted the driver again and he said that he could not get to my house because the streets near my road are all dead ends (see pic below to see why this is a lie). I have decided to collect the package this afternoon.
I just can't believe the incompetance and lies from such a big company. I have put in a complaint, and intend to speak to the manager this afternoon.

Temp Xmas driver running late to decides not to do some deliveries and has ecuse ready.

Had this alot with CityLink at this time of year - they say they have carded you and they have not - its always a get out clause.

Take it further and complain but like most couriers you will get nothing for them as you are not their customer !

Have to agree about *****link, but so many online retails insist on using the,

Byt Disney Haulage Ltd - well we use them at work for a major automotive group and they are dire - really dire

they managed to loose a pallet of bolts for me - special parts shipped sperately for security - in there hub in Germany - it weighted over half ton. that was over a year ago and they have still not found them.

And the number of metal pallets that go missing - well they must have an account with teh local scrap dealer !!!

its stupidity really that they can lose stuff that big

dhl are the cheapest courier but probably the best while *****link are one of the more expensive

they are used by ebuyer, bigpockets (boffer) and many more...... since they lost my monitor, i haven't used ebuyer

Maybe it's just the area that I'm in, but I've never had a problem with City Link.

I LOVE the excuses some delivery companies use!! Paid extra on ebuyer a few months ago to get a parcel delivered Saturday Morning and they didn't show!!! That was City Link!

Parcel Force last month didn't even bother carding me when I got a parcel from VistaPrint. On the off chance I tracked the parcel as I'd been waiting a few days and found it had been taken to the Post Office down the street 2 days before!! I rang them up to complain and a manager rang me back to discuss. Half an hour later the delivery driver came to my door and APOLOGISED, although it didn't help as the PO was shut on a tuesday afternoon!

Some companies don't even bother to use my letter box and tape things to my front door!!! LOL
