Heathrow is nearer in terms of the number of miles but you can get the Gatwick express into London Victoria easily enough. Heathrow is on the underground.

Gatwick is nicer

lol-but is it nearer?

Gatwick and Heathrow are both about equidistant from london, depends which part of london you start from really, but its pretty much the same, all in all. Gatwick I go on the gatwick express ( half hour to victoria train station ) or there are slower trains. The trains stop right at the airport. Heathrow last time I travelled was on the underground tube line and had it's own stop.

Hope you have a lovely time at the gig. Enjoy it! :)

Heathrow is closer, just outside London.

Not exactly sure, but think it's about 15-20 miles from London. I should know better cause I'm only 5 miles from there myself, but I'm rubbish :p

Heathrow you can get Picadilly Line straight to London City takes a while, can't remember exactly
Gatwick you can get Gatwick Express to Victoria (£20 rtn i believe) takes only 30 mins.
National Express do, do coaches but i am not sure on the details.

Hope that helps.

Says it takes 30 minutes. It will give you the journey time for the tube on here if you know which terminal you'd come into http://www.tfl.gov.uk/

Heathrow is by far the best airport I have had the pleasure of going through, T5 was seamless.

Remember it isn't just the tube from LHR - Heathrow Express & Heathrow Connect operate into London Paddington.
