What is the stupidest packaging you ever received from amazon or play.com etc?.. I just got a poster delivered in a box around the size of a flat screen tv... Take a look. Can anyone beat that?

I put the tenner in for sizing. I used my cat first but he is massive so made the box look smaller than it is...

Seen a sim card pack come in a box bigger than the PS3 box, in fact it was about twice as deep.

Can't beat it, but equal it...i ordered a chin up bar from Amazon for my son (about the same size as your poster) and it came in the same size box that you got. I also ordered 3 pairs of kids knitted gloves from Play and they came in 3 individual boxes, each about the size of a big cereal packet - ridiculous - they were hardly going to break?!!?

I'd rather that than the complete lack of packaging which left glass tumblers smashed on delivery from Debenhams recently.
#19
lool, guess thats why they have that option where you can leave feedback on thier packaging.

I can beat that. Got a suitcase padlock from screwfix and the box was 3 times the size of yours. Guess the packers did it for a laugh.

Worse still was that I had it delivered to my workplace!

got a delivery from hawkins bazaar the other day, for a 25p ball of putty, about 4cm of a cylinder filled with putty, in a box the size as the one shown in the first picture. It had tonnes of bubble wrap in aswell, LOL.

sickly sweet

Debenhams are bad - same happened to me with set of pyrex roasting dishes, no packaging at all so they were floating inside a huge cardboard box and 2 out of 3 were smashed. Got a full refund and told to dispose of them all - biggest one was still fine so kept that of course.

I was going to mention HP. I have seen some stupidly packaged things from them at work.

Everyone at work was intrigued by the huge box I had delivered from Play.com.
They were highly unimpressed when it turned out to be a cake box of 50 blank DVD's.

My entire computer (monitor and all) would have fit in that stupid box.

You can sort of understand how that happens though through the escalation of different packers. Someone decides for some stupid reason to package the pages in small boxes. Then someone else decides to send out lots of them, then someone else decides to send them all in the same box.

Sure if one person have overseen this delivery from start to finish it probably wouldn't have gone this way, its just the added packaging layers.

However, for this poster, someone clearly picked up a poster and decided to put it into an enormous box.
