Suddenly I really want a motorbike

Honda have made a bike that balances itself and more importantly follow you around, hopefully you can whistle for it like tank girl too. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-4092748/Watch…

I bought a bike two years back, best investment ever. £3k for the bike. 800 miles ridden, now waiting for the 10k compo payout after a van hit me.

Not the daily mailX)

The riding itself bit seems a bit pointless. I doubt anyone would actually use it much after the first couple of times of trying it. The self balancing thing could be useful though.

Why? Most people buy a bike so they can ride it. It's like having a car that follows you to the shop, what's the point? :|

Does it come when you whistle though? That would be pretty cool, as you could just wait outside your door or wherever you are, and wait for it to come to you, from wherever it's parked. But a bit useless if you have to go to get it anyway.

Got to love Honda. When they first brought out the Honda Civic the drivers dash was very sci-fi ;)

And let me take it for a test ride on some black ice and see if it still "stands up" whilst going at less than 30mph

I doubt very much it will keep itself upright on such a slippery surface

Yes it's a nice gadget but when would you really use the follow me and self balancing? When you go food shopping and your bike is too expensive you don't want to leave it outside to be stolen maybe? but then will you get it past security?

My cousin had a motorbike and she looked really cool on it. I would be too afraid to ride a motorbike but i would really like to get a moped.

Something like this. Looks so cool. :3

If you've got city roads (30mph) or quiet out of town roads then there is little concern.
If like me the first major road off the estate hits 40mph upto 60mph (very busy and jammed at peak) then I'd recommend a 125cc like my Honda PCX

but

not when it's icy ;)

ps update to my other thread - I found this

I can ride a bicycle so i think i will be fine with balance on a moped but i have never tried to ride one. I would want to take lessons before i would dare to approach the roads. I did seriously think about getting one for going to work, i was going to use it in the milder months only as i dont fancy riding the moped in the winter and getting soaked.

They just look so cool and are very economical to run.

Dont be silly. Mopeds are for women. I wouldnt be able to ride a motor bike as it would be too fast for me to control and i wouldnt want to ride that fast. But yes, you can get smaller bikes for women as my cousin, who is female had a motorbike smaller than your huge macho bike and she loved it. She loved riding the motorbike fast though.

Technically speaking a moped has pedels and a motor, nothing wrong with a honda cub,. If you want something small get a honda monkey

I like the moped because it travels at slower speed and is lighter so if i fall off, i am less likely to be injured by it falling on top of me.
