Never seen it before and I felt like I was 10 years old again
What era of films are you after? ie modern/modern(ish)/any era etc?

It was pretty good! Any era really! She's not keen on Harry Potter, but likes LOTR and Stardust! Any suggestions welcome!

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm leaning on Golden Compass atm...I don't think she likes 'kiddy' type movies but likes romance, magic, fantasy and stuff!

Enchanted looks pretty good in the trailers but is the humour too childish? Might give SWC a go though! Tx

Time Bandits (just awesome)
The Adventures Of Baron Munchausen (often overlooked but very very good IMO)
The Princess Bride (awesome)
Willow (as amibees said)
Pans Labyrinth (as allycat38 said)
Labyrinth
or but THIS which contains Labyrinth (and a few others, but mostly aimed at kids, whereas the ones above are quite adult (but still good for kids) Contents

Jack the Giant Killer (my fave film as a kid (but it is 1960s))

Forgot to say; Time Bandits - whatever you do - watch it - just awesome - I wanna watch it now; now that I'm thinking about it. It's kind of Monty Python meets fantasy and it is just magical. Then go for Baron Munch if you like TB

I remember watching that on a plane back from Spain - when the credits began to roll both me and this bloke next to me took off our headphones and looked at each other as if to say "what the bloody hell was that all about":-D

Yes, that's the one. Was it any good? I'm not a big Harry Potter fan myself, but thought it was in the same vein as OP's request...

Started okay then tailed off a bit & pretty flat by the end :)

Agree with one of wedgeys recommendations - The Princess Bride is good & has some humour aimed at adults as well :)
