Ok, so there is this bike that I want to buy from ebay. However the seller is charging £30 for delivery, if you were the seller and I suggested a delivery option which was cheaper and quicker would you accept it?

How much can you do it for then?, don't forget they maybe including packing expenses in that £30.

If it was quicker, cheaper and above board then I'd consider it.
Just ask them and see what they say.
It might be that they are paying extra so that the parcel is trackable?

About £20, the type of delivery they are offering is also economy 14-15 days.

If they have to package it up (at their cost) then I'd probably say no depending on desperate I was to sell it. They maybe making a little out of the postal costs too.

I'd say 'on your bike' 8)

They may not have an account set up with whomever you are suggesting. As another poster says its not just the delivery costs that are involved. I'm sure packing up a bike for transportation isn't cheap. Just make sure you don't place a bid if you aren't happy about the costs they have said they want.

I offer cheaper solutions to sellers and most of the time they refuse, because they use the postage section to reclaim fees on larger items, which I don't blame them for.

As Adam says, make the suggestion as many people do, just don't take offence if they refuse!
