we aim to go away around 22nd august two weeks, two adults two children(15 and 6)have been looking at the cheap deals posted here and have had a little look round...I can get flights to egypt for around £1000 for 4 and accomodation all inclusive similar price so in total £2000 for all of us.
Has anyone any other ideas please? We dont want culture or shopping just chill-out sun and pool relaxing in a safe area for kids.
I appreciate any advice or suggestions and rep wil be left for all thanks!!!!

Have you tried the Caribbean? It can be quite reasonable to go to the Dom rec for instance and even Cuba... Jamaica is a bit more expensive.

Malta has lots of good hotels, speak English, love kids, older one could try diving.
Dare I suggest that Egypt might be that bit too hot in August and a tad risky with the little one and tummy upsets?

That's nice too, if they want to go to Disney land..bush garden, Kennedy space center, universal studio and of course there is also the beach at either Miami, Clear water or west palm.

ooh but was trying to avoid the longer flight..

You can swim with dolphins, go rafting, climb duns river falls, visit green grotto cave where the Spanish escape form the English via this cave under ground passage leading back to the sea, visit places where the Bond movies were made, like the blue lagoon in Portland and even go to a drive in movie; all in Jamaica. Besides there is 7 miles of beautiful white sandy beach in Negril.

In that case, Tunisia gives you the beach, relics from the roman era and similar stuff to the hols you were considering. Scuba diving is there and also a boat trip to see the wales. Not to forget the visit to where they made the star war movies.

Why not stay in this country - centerparcs is brilliant for families, especially with kids of different ages. Something for everyone, and totally safe, not even allowed cars on the site through the week. Spa is brilliant too

we're off to egypt at the end of june and were able to book 4* all incl. for just over a thousand for the 2 of us. from what i've seen egypt is really good value this year.

Egypt sounds really nice but wouldn't like it too hot as I have pale skin. I would hate it they they crowded around me.

tbh they are both happy with the pool and making friends...but they can do the usual-play tennis etc-all thr usual things in the pool-keep fit and volleyball etc..my daughter is hapy to read even and relax-also snorkel. Son has special needs and poor muscle tone so all the swimming is fab for him!! he doesnt like shops or site-seeing much either so we are all content to stay in the pool in the heat!

Have done all the site-seeing and shopping when younger so dont feel we miss out:thumbsup:

The probelm with cyprus is that it is now slightly more expensive than everywhere else, but you are guaranteed sunshine!

The cheapest so far is on the 23rd from manchester to paphos all inclusive.. but £3380 :(

Thomson seem to be doing 2 weeks all inclusive at the El Wekala Resort hotel only for £702 departing on the 22nd.

Can you get the flights to match it?

The Three Corners El Wekala Golf Resort lies right in the heart of Taba Heights. Occupying a prime location, this hotel offers stunning views of both the Red Sea and the coloured mountains of the Sinai. Picturesque settings, traditional Egyptian architecture and a friendly atmosphere make this a perfect location for a relaxing holiday in Egypt."
