Hi, I have read the "for sale" guide, and am confused by it, so please forgive me if i am doing something wrong, and maybe point me in the right direction. The thing is, i have a 4 night break to "Devon Cliffs" that i now cannot go on. It is for 2a and 2c on 29 June 2009. I have paid the first £60 on it, and had the final bill of £77 this morning.
Am i allowed to sell it, and if so, can i on here? Thanks.

I think you are allowed to sell for the price it has/will cost you...although be careful, sometimes they hold the card info you gave as security for damage etc shen 'you' go...just worth checking if you sell it
Terms & conditions:

1. Closing date for applications is Friday, February 6th, 2009.

2. You will receive your holiday confirmation by February 26th, 2009 or, if unsuccessful, your payment will be returned by that date. If you have not heard anything by this date please telephone our hotline on 0870 125 3344 (calls may be monitored or recorded for staff training purposes).

3. News Group Newspapers Limited, publishers of The Sun do not own or operate any of the parks mentioned in this offer. We do offer our readers complete financial protection in the event of financial failure of any park or park operator in this offer by holding your holiday payment in a trust account until the completion of your holiday.

4. Holidays offered are organised by independent parks and operators. Your contract will be with the owner or operator of your holiday park and comes into effect when a holiday confirmation has been issued to you. The party with whom you have your holiday contract accepts liability only for the negligent acts and/or omissions of its employees.

5. These terms and conditions and How to Book apply to all holidays booked through this offer and, together with the park operator’s conditions, form the basis of your contract with your holiday park or park operator and theirs with you. Your signed application form is your acceptance of the terms and conditions of this offer.

6. Only complete applications for holidays from £9.50 will be accepted. Incomplete applications will be returned.

We cannot always guarantee multiple applications will be similarly processed.

7. Parties of less than four can only be accepted on payment of the four berth price. Minimum payment with application is £38.

8. Payment can be made by cheque or postal order only. DO NOT SEND CASH.

9. These are family holidays and bookings cannot be accepted from parties where all persons are under the age of 21. All-male and all-female parties under the age of 25 cannot be accepted.

10. ABSOLUTELY NO AMENDMENTS WHATSOEVER can be made by you after your holiday application has been received by us. Further, no refunds whatsoever can be made in the event of cancellation by you after the holiday confirmation has been issued to you in accordance with your application, unless the reason for cancellation is the fault of the park or operator.

11. Only people whose names are on your holiday booking form are permitted to occupy the holiday home allocated. Any persons causing a nuisance or disturbance to others will be asked to leave.

12. Holiday homes will be caravan homes, chalets, apartments, lodges, villas, bungalows or cottages. Holiday homes will be available from 4pm on day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on day of departure. If you will be arriving at your park during late evening you MUST advise your park direct in advance. Weekend breaks start on Friday and end on Monday. Midweek breaks start on Monday and end on Friday. Parks in this offer will allow you to use the park facilities on your day of arrival and departure before and after your specific holiday home accommodation is available. Please note that some facilities may be seasonable.

13. It is your responsibility to leave your holiday home in the condition that you found it. Breakages, damage or missing items WILL be charged to you.

14. These are self-catering holidays. No meals are included in the price, except on Half Board holidays where breakfast and evening meal are included for supplements of between £6 and £11.50 per person per day.

15. Bed linen is NOT included at any of the holiday parks within this promotion, unless offered for hire by the individual park or park operator. Please ensure that you take your own. A charge for cots, cot sides, high chairs and bed linen, if required, will be made by your park. This will be payable at your park as applicable.

16. Service charges are applied by some parks, others offer NIL SERVICE CHARGE on selected dates, as shown with the park listings. Where applicable, service charges are per unit per night and are primarily to cover the cost of pre-arrival cleaning of your holiday home. Gas and electricity is included. Where it is not included, parks have coin meters or token meters. Tokens can be purchased at your park. Service charges range from £10 to £36 per holiday home per break. Service charges will be charged direct to you by your park in advance of your arrival. DO NOT send payment with your application. Some parks may also charge an additional refundable cleaning/damage waiver deposit. This will be charged direct to you by your park in advance of your arrival.

17. Parks offering full day and evening entertainment programmes may charge for optional Entertainment Plus Passes. Charges will range from £2 to £10 per person per break. Other parks may charge £1 to £8 per person per break for optional Clubroom Passes. Check your park's description in this supplement for specific charges.

18. Insurance is not included but STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. For holidays in England, Wales, Scotland and the Isle of Wight include £8.50 per booking for personal and motor breakdown insurance if required. Summary details of cover are on Page 6. Your insurance cover note will be sent separately from your holiday confirmation. For holidays in Ireland extended cover costs £22.50 for your whole party. Include just £8.50 for insurance with your application. Full cover details and an invoice for £14 will be sent to you after you have received your Irish holiday park confirmation. All Insurance Premiums and Insurance Premium Taxes collected are the Insurers’ monies and passed immediately to Optimum as Underwriting Agents of Groupama Insurance Co. Ltd. and also as Agents of Mynton Ltd. for ROI motor breakdown insurance, to be held in trust. These companies are authorised and regulated by the Finance Services Authority.

19. Pets are NOT permitted for bookings at any of the parks in this offer. If your park and specific holiday home is able to accept pets this will be shown on your confirmation and payment for pets should be made direct to your holiday park.

20. For Isle of Wight and Irish holidays, or for holidays on the mainland from Isle of Wight or Ireland, The Sun has negotiated special crossing rates in conjunction with this offer. Details will be sent to you with your holiday confirmation. You must make your booking direct with the travel operator and your crossing contract is with that operator. You are not obliged to use the Sun negotiated offer for your crossing - you can make your own arrangements - but the Sun crossing offers are limited by availability. Specific routes and crossing times will be offered on a first come, first served basis and in some instances, your preferred crossing point and/or crossing time will have been fully allocated. In these instances you will be offered the nearest available alternative.

Can she not sell it and just get the people who buy it to adopt their family name for a week as I am sure they will not check as they have their money so why should the park care who uses it!
Thank you for your replies. I can see that the names might be a problem. :? I really didn't want to loose the £60. Any one else got any ideas? Shall i just put it for sale on here and see what happens? Am i just allowed to put up a post on the "for sale" Sorry for all the questions.:oops:
to be honest i have noticed people selling these on here before but obviously if you let someone buy it in your name is it really worth the risk for £60. I mean what happens if they cause £500 worth of damage you would get the bill! Unless you could sell it to close family or friends, even then though im sure you could open yourselves up to problems.
I don't think you'll be allowed to sell it on here (now that we know) the T&Cs make it clear you can't sell it on. You'll have to do it privately and with someone you trust as they will have to pretend to be you...
hi saw your query and should be able to sell ok, its a case of having to get in touch with the camp you are supposed to be staying at and changing the names with them, as long as the holiday is payed for and all the details are in order there shouldnt be a problem, how many people is the holiday for and staying where, i would be interested myself, you say you have payed £60 and have a outstanding balance of £70 is that for passes ect..
