If you have loading problems you may well need to return your Wii and the game to Nintendo.

In the following post you will find the contact numbers and what to do.

If your copy of the SSBB is not loading correctly or indeed not at all Nintendo are aware of the problem and have been for quite some time.
Why Nintendo chose to go ahead with the release of this game knowing the problems is a mystery to me but I guess that's another story !!

You can contact Nintendo through the links on the following web page
http://www.nintendo.co.uk/NOE/en_GB/service/contact_2095.html

The standard return will read:
Dear Customer,
Thank you for contacting us, regarding your Nintendo product/s.
Based on your description of the issue, we would recommend that you return the console and disc to our Service Centre for an assessment.
Brawl is the first Wii game to use a dual-layer disc. These contain more information than normal discs and a very small percentage of users may experience read issues.

If the Wii is unable to read the disc it is likely it needs a lens clean. It could need a clean due to dust in the air, nicotine from smoking, air fresheners etc.
We are offering a free cleaning service for anyone with this issue.
Please use our expedited repair service.
We will also need your copy of Brawl so we can test to make sure everything is working correctly before returning your items

You will then be given a link to the webform on
http://www.nintendoservicecentre.co.uk

It's just a case of filling in the form then and waiting for them to send you the Freepost label.
The only contentious part of the form is where they state that the repair is chargeable if out of warranty. If like ours your Wii is out of warranty I just put an accompanying note on the webform to say that I understood the work was NOT chargable.

Hope that helps. Any questions just shout (loud)

Is this the same problem everyone was having when the USA version came out? The laser not coping well with the dual layer disc?

They say it is the early Wii's that are at fault, not the game itself.

I pre-ordered the game, and I had been promising my son for weeks that it was on its way. Put it in to play it yesterday as soon as the postman delivered it and was told "unable to read disc" - aaahhhhh! OH phoned nintendo and was told it was a problem with the disc as it is dual layer, and that we had to send the wii off. Not happy as now the kids will have to do without their wii for a few weeks.

Yes, you are right Melissa, we have a very unhappy bunny here also !

What I find unbelievable is that Nintendo have gone ahead with the issue of the game with full knowledge there was a real problem.
Not the best of customer care :x

Is that a code or something to solve the problem or are you just laughing at other peoples misfortunes ??

They could have at least warned people before they received the game that this could happen. I was going to ring powerplay direct, where I had ordered the game from and have a go at them. Luckily we rang nintendo first.
