Can someone help me, I may sound thick here but what is the difference between Unleaded and Super Unleaded Petrol and does it really make a big difference on your car and miles per gallon?.

Unless you have a performance car using super unleaded will not increase your mpg or mph just cost you more. which did a survey if you are interested.

Since you haven't yet said:

All Renaults sold in the UK are designed for 95 fuel, not 98. That is not to say that under high load you won't get knocking. The benefit is generally specific to the engine, but the general trend is that the higher the spec of engine, the more the benefit. The 1.2 16 v won't show any benefit, the 1.2 TCE might, the 1.4 and 1.6 16 v are unlikely to, whilst the 197/200 will.
